Mission 1 – A Rising Storm | Ghostmaker | Warhammer 40,000 Campaign Report

Deep within the Cicatrix Maledictum, the excavation of planet CM-9 by the Inquisition has so far gone without incident. But as a strange storm approaches site four, some claim that voices can be heard on the wind… something in the storm is coming for them… and some things should remain buried.

It’s been a while. Time to rewatch GhostMaker after Spider reminded me of the story in one of the last batt reps 🙂

While we mistrust the Inquisition’s excavation on CM-9, Legio XV cursed and vile pawns of Chaos are abhorrent to the sons of Caliban, must be stopped. We see vox reports that an Inquisition witch has let loose the raw power of the Warp and suffered as a consequence.

Brothers, Xenos hoards are running rampage on CM-9…. Can no one stop this?

You should definitely combine this type of campaign with some rollplay. Does anyone know if wrath & glory is going to be any good? Are you interested in this at tabletop tactics?

Any chance of a cinematic of slade seeing the inquisitor unleashing the warp? Maybe with an awesome quote like “If his head explodes I’ll kill the crazy fool!”

Laurence, team Tabletop Tactics: you guys rule. I have been greatly enjoying your Freeview content on YouTube ever since I came across your videos a few months ago, but it was this new campaign video that swung it for me and prompted me to subscribe. As somebody very happily getting back into 40k after a long time away, I am just blown away by your production values, imagination, banter, and obvious love for what you are doing. More than anything though, I just love the way that you guys bring the 40k universe to life in your videos. Even your… Read more »

Really loved that video and I find myself checking the website everyday for episode 2! I really like the thousand sons choice and I am sure we are going to see an interesting narrative develop in play, maybe a greater hero than Apollo will rise?

Surprised this hasn’t had more comments, finally got round to watching this today. I’m hooked already, can’t wait for the next episode and how the characters develop. Cut scenes are a nice addition really helping to immerse the viewer into the experience. I know I’m jumping ahead a little here, but it would be really exciting to see you merging the next 40k narrative campaign with a bit of your D&D series. Rather than having a strict structure where you know the back ground and the route ahead, have each “player” leading an army and their warlord/second in command through… Read more »

I feel like I already commented on this elsewhere, but I am watching it again because this is incredibly good. This is the best 40K content on the internet, hands down

I live for these campaigns. Nothing fires me up for hobby as much as a good TT Narrative report. I must admit, I thought it was going to be a Drukhari raid at first… I’m sure we’ll see them at the most inopportune time soon enough.

That was fantastic. Real big step up, and the Gaius campaign was already great. Love the in-battle scenes – really add to the immersion and storytelling, and love the characters too – excellent trope names!

So so good

Question, what Ordo is the inquisitor?
If it was malleus or heteticus, he should have been re-rolling hits and wounds against the thousand sons warlord in that final combat.
