Mission 1 – A Rising Storm | Ghostmaker | Warhammer 40,000 Campaign Report

Deep within the Cicatrix Maledictum, the excavation of planet CM-9 by the Inquisition has so far gone without incident. But as a strange storm approaches site four, some claim that voices can be heard on the wind… something in the storm is coming for them… and some things should remain buried.

It’s been a while. Time to rewatch GhostMaker after Spider reminded me of the story in one of the last batt reps 🙂
I’ve finally gotten the chance to watch these, this is going to be fun. 🙂
While we mistrust the Inquisition’s excavation on CM-9, Legio XV cursed and vile pawns of Chaos are abhorrent to the sons of Caliban, must be stopped. We see vox reports that an Inquisition witch has let loose the raw power of the Warp and suffered as a consequence.
Brothers, Xenos hoards are running rampage on CM-9…. Can no one stop this?
I will be rewatching the entire series…
Rewatching this as I’m hoping it’ll be finished soon. Oh Bone. I miss the stache.
Just now watching and wow. That was seriously epic!
You should definitely combine this type of campaign with some rollplay. Does anyone know if wrath & glory is going to be any good? Are you interested in this at tabletop tactics?
Well that was bloody brilliant.
Any chance of a cinematic of slade seeing the inquisitor unleashing the warp? Maybe with an awesome quote like “If his head explodes I’ll kill the crazy fool!”
What’s the ETA on the next video. Trying to be patient, I know LVO ect ect lol. Really good stuff.
Laurence, team Tabletop Tactics: you guys rule. I have been greatly enjoying your Freeview content on YouTube ever since I came across your videos a few months ago, but it was this new campaign video that swung it for me and prompted me to subscribe. As somebody very happily getting back into 40k after a long time away, I am just blown away by your production values, imagination, banter, and obvious love for what you are doing. More than anything though, I just love the way that you guys bring the 40k universe to life in your videos. Even your… Read more »
awesome stuff boys!
Hey guys, just watched this.
Awesome! When is the next episode dropping!?
This video earned you guys a subscription so impressed can’t wait for more
Really loved that video and I find myself checking the website everyday for episode 2! I really like the thousand sons choice and I am sure we are going to see an interesting narrative develop in play, maybe a greater hero than Apollo will rise?
That was epic
Awesome work guys
I’ve spent a few years watching batreps online and did not realise they could be this good and this damn engaging! Yes boys!!! Stoked for #2!
Surprised this hasn’t had more comments, finally got round to watching this today. I’m hooked already, can’t wait for the next episode and how the characters develop. Cut scenes are a nice addition really helping to immerse the viewer into the experience. I know I’m jumping ahead a little here, but it would be really exciting to see you merging the next 40k narrative campaign with a bit of your D&D series. Rather than having a strict structure where you know the back ground and the route ahead, have each “player” leading an army and their warlord/second in command through… Read more »
I feel like I already commented on this elsewhere, but I am watching it again because this is incredibly good. This is the best 40K content on the internet, hands down
Thousand sons army showcase from July: https://youtu.be/gQ8J11gTNFg
Fantastic; loads of fun to watch 🙂
I’d like to see the dice rolls 🙁
Such a good game, sky-high production values. Really want a Tempestus army with your colour scheme too now!
Bloody spectacular guys! I can see my hype over the last few months has been well and truly justified! 😀 Absolutely love the new addition of the animations too, really helps give the narrative more weight ?
I live for these campaigns. Nothing fires me up for hobby as much as a good TT Narrative report. I must admit, I thought it was going to be a Drukhari raid at first… I’m sure we’ll see them at the most inopportune time soon enough.
AWEEEESOMEEEE
Well Lawrence, you were right, you didn’t disappoint with this!!! Well done. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!
Keep up the amazing work
Just brilliant! wow! Merry Christmas to the team and thank you guys for another epic production. It is such a pleasure to be part of this community. Cheers and keep up the good work. Seriously impressive stuff 🙂
Damn that was really outstanding.
Amazing, this is what the hobby is all about.
I am inspired to go fully fluff mode for 2018 now.
That was fantastic. Real big step up, and the Gaius campaign was already great. Love the in-battle scenes – really add to the immersion and storytelling, and love the characters too – excellent trope names!
Fantastic job guys – you are killing it as always. Nothing really compares to the quality of the content I find here every time I come.
Brilliant stuff guys! Lawrence, fantastic job on the campaign as a whole and particularly on the characters – they are just downright awesome. It would be SO hard to wait till the Eldar make their appearance! ;))
Hi Guys, first up Mission 1 was awesome, I put it on my 70” tv and watched it with my two young boys, I’m really new too all this but absolutely love the time and effort you and the team put into it, really well done and look forwards to Mission 2!
Awsome!
So so good
Question, what Ordo is the inquisitor?
If it was malleus or heteticus, he should have been re-rolling hits and wounds against the thousand sons warlord in that final combat.
Not much to say Lawrence except amazing job, the whole crew as well, this is exactly what i subscribe for ! And thanks for the TT Dice, they showed up few days before Christmas, perfect timing to purge the Xenos over the holidays with 🙂
thanks for the christmas gift!! can’t wait to see what happens next!
highly anticipated and didn’t disappoint, well done lads!
Great work and truly epic!!!
Man that was epic guys! The first campaign was what made me a subscriber in the first place, and this looks like it could be even better, can’t wait for the next chapter!
This simply is must see TV. Goosebumps. Production OMG. Entertainment value = the whole family in front of the big screen, with a snack and a beverage. Thank you very much.
Merry Christmas ! Awesome batrep ! Hope to see some Eldar in this Campaign 🙂 Looking forward to Mission 2 ! 🙂
Merry Christmas ! Awesome batrep ! Hope to see some Eldar in this Campaign 🙂
@tabletoptactics:disqus Happy christmas guys, Lawrence the introduction was incredible, you should be hugely proud of that 😀
Bbone and Beard thanks so much for the game, it was so much fun to watch 😀 roll on next segment!
I loved the 1st campaign. This one is off to a great start; it looks like this will be even better. Happy Holidays and thanks for the great content!!
Happy Christmas gang! Did you guys roll for The Ferryman on the results table for next game? I think you mentioned it, and given that he is such a boss, I am hoping he is in subsequent episodes!
This is epic. I will be happy to replay the campaign with my friends in the club. Merry Christmas.
Fantastic start to a campaign with my (currently) favourite army 😀 May the sons of Magnus prevail in the shadow of thr horrible deeds of the corpse Emperor.
An epic return to the narrative scene – really looking forward to seeing where this goes. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate what a magnificent name Ferryman is for an imperial knight! Excellent work guys – merry Christmas! ?
