One of the best bat reps, really enjoyable to watch. Beard and Spider’s back and forth banter was great
What a killer batrep. I love Beardoscope. Gotta keep dat colour balance locked in tho. Technology, am i right?
Fantastic battle! VERY entertaining.
Beard, you hung in there like a champ!
What do you think about the new FAQ beta rules for this army? 3 units of obliterators will be the max. Do you think you’ll benefit from some flyers or a couple of warptalon squads to take care of flyers?I think the no turn 1 deepstrike will force more people to bring flyers…
Spider… I think it’s time. Eldar vs Bone’s T’au
I love this Iron Warriors army. Every time I see them I want to start collecting them.
hilarious bat rep but its such a shame when dice rolling ruins everything. Beard’s first turn was so good, I had such high hopes for a really close game….
Trying to catch up on the battle reports. This was a great one. Eldar cheese everywhere! No wonder people hate the Eldar, LOL. Beard and Lawerence that was fun too, laughed hard 🙂
Beard, you were awesome this game!
Great BR as ever guys, well done Beard for continually tolerating Lawrence Luck and your own lack of it! This is how Warhammer should always be aimed to play, just two people having a great time even if it does get a bit one sided! Unrelated but any chance you will do a vox cast on the new BIG FAQ, and any more news on your tournament?
Beard I just have to say “Respek” while I tap two fingers on my chest and as I strut by with a sideways hat and high top Jordan’s. You kept a great attitude despite the xenos cheese, and goddam you are a hardened veteran of the soul soulcrushing roll of 1s.
Ten minutes in and boyyyy are those two nasty lists! Really looking forward to this one chaps.
Beardoscope Intro is so nice ! anybody knows what song it is ? Also , nice bat reps Tabletop tactics guys ! keep it up !
Tfw you come to watch a battle report and end up laughing along with the players. I would give my left pinky toe to come play or watch a game with you guys.

new Iron Warriors
Beard, Bone and a double dose of the Spider in one weekend – overload over 9000! 😀
Match seemed a bit of Eldar porn. I love seeing them smash face on the channel and the Elder (Ghosts) is why I subscribed years ago, but im wondering if Beard got a little bullied by Lawrences superior tactics. The IW list looked like it brought all the big guns with little on defence, The Hemlocks had space to move where they wanted and park next to whatever target needed for the smites, I guess This is why screening is so important. Also what is everyone’s thoughts I trading the Demon prince for an objective and a squad of guardians?… Read more »
I don’t usually post up rules bits that were missed on these reports guys, but unless I’m missing something, the Sicaran ignores the -1 to hit against flyers. Especially relevant to this game. Thanks Lawrence and Beard for such an entertaining report, Beard’s first turn was fantastic I think – so much destruction. Hard luck in the end mate!
Poor Beard – talks about painting up Cultists and their stratagem was nerfed today in the FAQ 🙁
Lawrence, your use of eldar is just disgusting and wrong. It’s fun to watch but I would never want to play against it and being and ork player makes me very seriously reconsider being a competitive player if that’s the sort of thing I’ll be facing. Or at least thinking of picking up a different army lol
Nice to see Ulthwe more, but I do miss the Ghosts, they have yet to get a game in 8th (or have they all been repainted black now?).
Bone, I love that Daemon Prince conversion, very fitting for the Iron Warriors, and yes double Butcher Cannon does seem to be the way to go with Leviathan’s.
I wonder how todays big FAQ drop will effect your armies? I think the Drukhari have come out of it better off than most, whilst Grey Knights just died with the added Power Level restriction on deep strikes.
This was one hell of a fun ride Ahaha! Great battle guys 🙂
That was a superb bat rep. The fun was infectious!
the real MVP of this vid is the zoom in on the one with Lawrence laughing maniacally in the background
2:02ish: WHY CAN’T YOU LET ME ENJOY ANYTHING!?
The perfect summary of this game. The Iron Warriors were doing so well and then they evaporated under shuriken fire.
1:54:39 Spider laughing maniacally as the zoom intensifies sums up this rep perfectly haha.
Fantastic Bat Rep. Very nice to see some variety in this Iron Warrior list, looks really scary now ! Well done Beard. Also good to have the Spider back on the board, and to actually see his face ! Feels like ages (except for just recent Tactica).
Edit : 1’58”50 -> Nice socks lawrence
I really think Lawrence needs some nerfing.
I love how because of this amazing channel, every single time a numbers problem crops up in life (and it happens often which is why school was actually important) I say the phrase ‘that’s mathmatics ‘ and it drives my wife mad every single time!! From the bottom of my heart…. Thankyou Tabletop Tactics!!!
Love your new models, Mr Beard. Especially the prince! ^_^
Great Game!! I laughed so much. However, Beard, be very careful when playing against flyers (not so much elder thanks to their x2 90°) because from the camera view point I believe that Spiders’ Hemlock move in turn 3 (to move behind your tank) was based on a 1st turn of over 90°. It makes no change for turn 3 but in turn 4 the Hemlock should have been out of D-sythe range. Its not a major game changer for this battle… but being a “stickler” on this rule can force an aircraft (that can not hover) to waste a… Read more »
I’m beginning to think the Spider has made a pact with the dark gods! Far too many 6’s……..seriously, I think all gaming groups have one person who rolls loads of 6’s and someone who rolls loads of 1’s. I’m definitely the latter 🙁
ITS THE GHOST HELM *SHRUG*
Beard your daemon prince looks like an awesome chaos-powered Decepticon, I’m sure it didn’t actually die but transformed into a Heldrake at the last moment and flew off
Beard took the wrong train at the start of the match, the rage train instead of the pain train. 😀 Understandably… Oh Beard, I am sorry for you. Painted that beautiful Leviathan and put so much effort in the conversion of your stunning Deamon Prince and they get shot off the board first. I share your pain. Know how it feels like to keep up in VPs, but to witness one’s own army melting into nothingness. Worst thing: friendly opponents want to cheer you up by saying “look, it was not so bad… you had almost as many vistory points… Read more »
Well done mr Beard
I really liked your deamon prince and the leviathan dreadnaught. Those two + the obliterators helped me decide decide what my next army will be.
Keep up the good work guys
That looked like a genuinely fun game. I’d love to see more beard-o-scope!
Both Warlords looked great. Loved the Deamon Prince conversion. Heavy metal entertainment indeed. Would have loved to have seen him take out some vehicles but those damn shooty space elves wouldn’t allow it. Ninja star to the eye can take down anyone it seems. Enjoyed the battle report gents. Thanks a lot. All the best.
Absolutely brutal. Those Ulthwe feel no pain saves make them sooo durable. Love the Leviathan, look forward to seeing that dread reappear in future games.
I’m still trying to figure out where they spiritseer head is from, that hair is fabulous
With the increase in Beard-o-scope and Bone-cam videos, not forgetting classic SpiderVision it would be cool to be able to search for your favorite presenters videos
Fantastic battle report, as an Eldar player I was simply enchanted. I love how this batrep highlighted that the true strength of eldar lies in their psychic powers and strategic layering of synergies through hq’s/psychic/stratagems, and not spamming the really OP units like reapers and spears (though I almost always run one unit of each). I’ll say this though, I was kind of eh on the hemlocks when the codex dropped, everyone loved them then, and still basically do, but as you saw in that batrep, unless you get really lucky on the number of shots, they just don’t do… Read more »
Dammit, HOW am I supposed to paint when I’m laughing so much at battle reports?!?? All my Necrons would have had wobbly eyes, but I sensibly decided to do their bases instead.
What a game!
Beards’ Warrior army is looking strong, though, looking forward to seeing the best list ever soon!
good game guys really nice first turn for beard, however i think beard slightly over extend himself, should have just hid his prince as that 1 vp was not worth it.
Looks like i’ve joined at the right time! Great work, really enjoying the battle reports and learning a lot. Looking forward to seeing more nefratai bat reps as necron player myself
1:53:00 BEST USE OF A DRAMATIC ZOOM I’VE SEEN IN MAH LIFE
Great battle guys. I really enjoyed it, so much laughter in this one! Nice additions to your Iron warriors force Beard, your Demon prince looks epic.
Excellent work chaps – thoroughly enjoyable as ever! I’m been pondering a Heretic Astartes army for a while and I’m seriously leaning towards Iron Warriors now, largely since having seen Beard’s army. Love the Daemon Prince conversion, i’m inspired to do one myself – perhaps based on an Iron Circle automata fused with daemon wings and a new head and weapon…? Hmmm…….
With the Spider’s own words: you’re absolute bosses! Thanks for making my weekend! #bosslevel9000 😉
At 1:37:50 I think Beard could have made a huge play by tying up the blob of guardians with his lone obliterator on three wounds. Some cheeky charge+pile in+consolidate moves would probably have made it possible to get into melee with the heavy weapons platforms. Even with 20 attacks in return they had but a ~4% chance of killing the obliterator.
Cool game. Great Iron Warriors army!
If I’m allowed another cheeky rules-comment, I believe you cannot use the overload-Serpent-Shield-Stratagem in the same turn as you shoot the shield itself. Shield needs to have been shot in a previous turn for the Stratagem to be allowed.
The sandstone castle/forts during the Eldar list look great, any idea where I could find something like that?
By the moon’s of Mongo! Two Bat reps on the same day? Iron with in. Iron with out. Fingers crossed for the Beard!
