Only just discovered that you made this video – but the feedback is from the bottom of my heart! You guys already made the best 40k content on YouTube – hands down and not even close! That said, while I think 40k can be a fun game, with the right people, Kill Tean is what has my engine burning HOT!!!!! I am currently making a campaign for some mates and myself, and reading up on the rules, I actually dreamt about how amazing a campaign would be from Tabletop Tactics! Imagine the beauty of it! All of the hosts have… Read more »

Yaaaaay!
Please give us more Kill Team! These are fun and KT seems well balanced so far!
I think there is something to say about the sequential shooting phase, I think it could be a sign of things to come one day.

Please play a league – just run it as a campaign from the KT book, have like 4 or 6 different KT’s in there bashing it out!

Definitely see potential in having KT games part of your amazing ‘Campaigns’ in the future! 🙂

Finally got a chance to watch this and it was epic. I dont have Kill Team yet but it looks very entertaining. Kill team narrative games would be cool too in time. Would love to see you guys do a league and crown a KT champion amongst the TT crew!

I love Kill Team and can see an occasional 3 or 4 player game being fun … but overall prefer 1 on 1. It would be good to see Kill Team fortnightly, especially if beers are around!! It was interesting to see that Heavy Weapon being used by the Aeldari, it gave them a different emphasis.. same as the Tau FLY keyword. It can be hard to get your head around the fact that you’re not playing W40K … I wished the QRF sheet at the back of the rule book was clearer. I’ve written all over mine as we’ve… Read more »

Hilarious and amazing and would watch more. 3 player is great even if a little longer, would watch a league in a heartbeat.

Loved the game guys! Really funny, really fun.

Would love to see more Kill Team on On Demand! Was actually starting to think about checking out other channels, just to see what Kill Teams about.

Alas, poor beard, you’re still Ever Rad to me. :’D

Would love to see some league action. I think you would be able to make a 1v1 game interesting to watch. I’d describe Kill Team as “Easy to learn, difficult to master” you will find there’s a lot of tactical depth to the tactics cards, specialists and picking teams from rosters.

A few rules errors, all the usual things people stumble upon transferring from 8th, I think they e been covered by others below so I won’t go over again. Very good for a first live run.

So a league with a mixture of player numbers would be cool.

This was really fun to watch but no idea if I’d feel the same were it to be 1v1 battles. This is a lot in part to me really enjoying watching you three together with all the banter and laughs it brings so, without having seen a 1v1 yet, my vote goes for more 1v1v1 or even 1v1v1v1 or perhaps 2v2.

I actually really enjoyed this, I’m not really a fan of kill team but I have to say that it looked lots of fun. I’d def be up for seeing a league and maybe a narrative down the line.

To be fair though; what was beard thinking? lol

What exactly is the downside to Readying your units to fire? It seems like you should always do it…?

Not an expert on kill them but i thought you had to alternate units in all phases not do them all at once or more than 1 at a time…

That rep was tons of fun to watch! I think these styles of bat rep belong in a narrative setting, since they have very little interest for me as a whole game the way 40k games do.

Very nice work with the KT report boys!

A KT league would be great to see, with all the TT members shooting it out to see who has the best squad.

If you were going down the narrative route, I think it would be best to use them as side games to an exsistng narrative (ie: Ghostmaker)

Lastly, can Lawrence please bring out a GK strike squad in a future KT report, as it will make myself and alot of other GK players very happy to see them on the channel again ?

Great job! Really enjoyed this batrep! Please make more! I think it would be better with 3+ players as others have said as well. 1v1 is more competitive imho where 3+ seems to bring in a lot of extra fun.

Just finished watching this. Loved every second of it. The more the merrier, I think, made for a lot more entertainment. I think this had more laughs and gasps than any battle rep I’ve seen in a long while. Very entertaining! Thank you very much for posting! 🙂

Very interesting. Oh and dear Beard, a man after my own heart 🙂 I did exactly the same thing on my first game…. And lost in two turns Admech do not have the armour to rush in the open 🙂 I’m not sure that 1v1 battle reports would be all that useful, seeing all the 40k ones you already do. But what could be good would be to intergrate this format into the ghoste maker campagne, the looser of the last 40k battle can initiate a kill team scenario to gain an advantage in the next 40k game… That sort… Read more »

Great game guys! It was a fun watch. I actually think 3 person missions are pretty great especially for these skirmish games. Now about KT…for me KT is in an awkward place. On the one hand you have Necromunda which is another small model count skirmish game, then you have 40k on the other end which is of course for large model count battles. To me, if I want to use 40k models I am probably going to want to play 40k proper. For all my skirimish needs Necro seems to sit better in this category – it has a… Read more »

Bring the Chef in for a 4-way.

Or a Colonel run Imperial Guard killteam.

Don’t film the initiative phase, just explain it or have it come up on-screen briefly. I’m sure you’ll get the hang of this format in no time though.

FOR THE EMPERORS SAKE BEARD USE SOME FRIGGIN’ COVER. Was adding the finishing touches to my own Deathwatch KT while watching this and I was literally screaming.

4 player game play would eliminate potential imbalances/ganging up on any one player. Also, a two vs two scenario would be real neato.

Spider! Your ranger would only suffer a -1 for if the target is obscured. Sniper weapons always ignore the -1 for being at long range.

Loved it! Having it as 3 players was so much more interesting and entertaining! 1v1s are ok, but i feel like 1v1s are already starting to get a bit “tired” report wise on the net – maybe it’s just me. Doing this, and the potential of maybe a 4-way game for fun would be super enjoyable to watch. We only get to see you guys interacting game wise in the Cast of Players which is narrative roleplay driven. Something like kill team could be a more “hands off” and relaxed outlet for you guys and us as viewers (everyone loves… Read more »

I can only really speak for myself but I hope you guys don’t give up entirely on the idea of playing some less conventional match formats (like the 1v1v1). It was refreshing and enjoyable to watch something different from the norm especially considering how much I like to binge watch your battle reports lol. Plus, I nearly flipped my work desk over in joy when I saw that I was going to get a battle rep with the Spider, CheruBone, AND Mr. Beard – The Holy Trinity of 40k entertainment. So thank you for another hilarious and great battle rep!… Read more »

Great rep! Would love to see more Kill Team in a narrative setting or a league. I think a narrative campaign with some battles being played as typical 40k and the odd skirmish being played by Kill Team rules would be really interesting to watch.

Beard such a shame for you mate, I always hope your Deathwatch will do well but the dice were even more unkind than usual this time. At least another victory was claimed for the mighty Toga ey! Cheers for the video, you’re all bosses!

Møre kill team please. One on one is faster and less chaos. Please re-reed the rules regarding damage and injury rolls. Page 31. Also re-reed the re-roll tactic, it is quit specific to what you can re-roll. These rules are different and quirky, but make kill team special. Tokens are necessary to keep track of everything. Having said that, you guys are the best battle reporters in the world.

Oh dear! poor Beard, what a pile of horrible luck. It was fun to see the Killteam rep, but I am happy I did not invest in it to be honest. I prefer 40k more, and also, if I could choose I would love you guys doing more Narrative bat reps and Ghostmaker etc. Keep up the good work boys! you are all Bosses 🙂

Really enjoyed the video. I am pro KT batrep going forward. Thumbs up for the multiplayer game. I get why you guys do two-person batreps now and I really enjoy the surge in content that it has allowed, but there’s just a different chemistry when you are 3+ members of the crew together, be it players+cameraman or 3 players. That’s one of the reason why I like your narrative games so much. A narrative campaign would be nice, but not at the expanse of production rate. Maybe start with a league and then go narrative when the other narrative games… Read more »

Really enjoyed this, although painful at times as I recently got a deathwatch KT starter box myself. with all the rules you guys have to keep track of I’m not surprised it can be hard to adapt but i really like the different flavour this kind of game offers with the possibility of multiplayer matches and the chance for some epic narrative play. Legends will be forged! Xenos will be purged!

Beard… Beard… Beard…

Fun game though, but I think 2 player will generally be better. 3 player becomes a mess, and I have found that it often leads to a “gang up” situation. 4 player might be better then.

PS: For future Narrative bat reps (of the normal kind) it would be awesome to see you do some of the narrative missions in the rule book / CA

LEAAAAAAAAAAGUE! *prays someone plays dark angels otherwise go deathwatch (they technically still have one right?)* that was pretty fun to watch, would be cool seeing a league between all of the TTT crew.

I think Kill Team would be awesome to run in conjunction with your normal 40k campaign games. Idea being that you have a kill team battle representing inital scouting phases of a battle, 1 side going in to sabotage an enemy camp etc. – Whoever wins gets some kind of tactical bonus in the ensuing 40k game. Might be a cool idea.

Like the Kill Team games though, I love 40k but it’s good to get other formats in occasionally to spice it up.

I believe you need to take a nerve test whenever a model suffers a flesh wound, so Beard’s doomed characters, and the Aeldari Guardian that suffered two flesh wounds in the second/third shooting phase (?) *edit* wait I just remembered that it is irrelevant because even rolling a 6 they would still pass the nerve test….. whoops. But I could be wrong; definitely a difficult transition from normal 40k to KT. (And I am commenting as I watch this so these comments may be premature) Absolutely love all this content you all are putting out, you guys are the best… Read more »

Guys, I made all these rules mistakes for my first 5+ games, so just want to help out: 1. The player controlling the defending model rolls on the injury table if their model failed their save. If it was a multi-damage attack that reduced the defending model to 0 wounds, then it’s the attacking player that rolls number to dice equal to damage, picking the highest for the injury table. 2. Assuming 1-damage weapon: even if the defending model failed 2 or 3 of their saves, the controlling player rolls only once on the injury table. Pg31, under 4. Inflict… Read more »
