Congrats guys. Do you think you can post your list on a data slate? I’m interested in seeing what your composition was, particularly with the Tau. Because I have been running Tau since they were introduced I have a lot of Battlesuits (…always been in the Enclave…). I know that Bone doesn’t tend to run many but I still think they are viable, especially at lower points. Good job all.
Always love the tournament reports! Keep them coming!
Also you started talking about doing more itc games, just wanted to mention that I would love more of those
Very well done Lawrence, makes you wonder what you could do with a top tier army. Although I know you don’t get any enjoyment out of those lists. But congrats, I love it when you win these things lol Can i also say that B-Bone, along with the whole rest of the cast such as Beard and Stig…I have watched them get better and better and better, especially B-Bone. It is clear to see the evolution of Bones tactics and thought process when building a list since 8th dropped…it is very useful for someone like me who is still very… Read more »
Wow!! Well done to you all.
Leave it to The Spider to win a ITC event with Grey Knights… Good lord man. Great job!
Edit: I feel bad I should have mentioned B-Bone. Great job to you too as well man! Keep up the good fight!
Way to go Lawrence!! Really enjoy these vox casts btw so feel free to keep em coming ^_^
Wooh! Go Lawrence!
Cheers for the shout-out, Bone!
Well done both of you. That event sounds really fun. I really enjoy these voxcasts, so again thumbs up and thank you both.
Cheers!
my jaw was literally agape with each new win Lawrence described with his Grey Knights. I still have trouble believing you beat Harlequins, Drukhari, Knights, and an Ork horde with that list. Are you sure you did? Are you sure you’re not living in a Truman Show-esque world where this is all a simulation to test what never losing can do to someone’s mental health? Because I’m not convinced yet!
Lawrence, I have no idea how you keep your face straight after announcing you have just saved 78 from 80.
…enter smug mode.
In regards to the Ork game and the dice rolling app, I have to say I’m not a fan. For me, I don’t feel any app, even a really well coded one, can replicate rolling real dice on a tabletop surface. I get that they are useful for convenience sake, but only getting 2 results of 1 out of 80 seems way above the odds. I’m happy for someone to prove me wrong, it just doesn’t seem right.
Oh and Lawrence, Boris looks like you? Are you sure you’re not just cloning yourself? 😉
I need to figure out where tournaments like these are in the US. Traveling to the UK is just not an option right now with my current job. Also saving up to have my new Sisters of Battle Army painted by Stiff Neck Studios and hopefully will have it ready to start gaming with them a month or two after the new line is release. I’ll post up some pictures and a list once I get everything up and running. Thank you for the voxcast! It is amazing hearing your experiences in regards to tournaments as I’m looking to get… Read more »
Thought I had when Lawrence talked about the Ork game, and the lack of firepower from Grey Knights.
That’s really an issue I have with most marine armies, although other codices can do a lot better, but in the end a Bolter and Storm-Bolter is just not making up for the fact that you have 3-4 less of them than your resident Guard Player has.
Asked yesterday if there was any videos with tips for people looking to start going to tournaments. next day voxcast about beginner friendly tournament. fate!
With the existence of “The Rule of Three” I feel Highlander becomes obsolete.
3 of a unit is hardly spam, and at 1500 points you really don’t have room to take much anyways.
Also three of a unit would still be fluffy.
Heck I feel all of my armies would become a lot LESS fluffy with Highlander, not more…
Lovely to see such positivity about it. Was a great tournament! Really proud of the club pulling off that two-dayer.
I played the same AM lists as you, 5 leman russes are not easy to deal with!
That’s awesome! Its cool to see that it really does come down to your tactics and not your army. Obviously you have a lot of experience, but its still cool to know that if you know your army and you know the game, you can have a chance to win. Congrats!!
Necrons might even stand a remote chance in that format!
