Hey lads, maybe a quick read of vindicare rules, his rifle is heavy -1 if he moves and a natural wound roll of 6 does d6 damage

When Beard charged the termies into the custard Temies and Stig used the Tanglefoot grenade I cried a little inside. Not only could the rhino right next to them have prevented that, it could also have soaked up the overwatch!

Still, cracking game, love it when there an ‘independent’ narrator 🙂

It would have been a very good match up for Magnus, given that :
– the custo usually dont have much shooting to kill magnus turn 1
– to make up for the -2 bubble of the cullexus

If you don’t think of morale as them running but as the unique, unit dynamic that makes them combat effective/disabled there are some pretty cool visuals for the double morale failed turn. Translated to Lawrence: Overcome by the Custodes the sorcerers could no longer maintain the concentration to keep their constructed rubricae alive, the sorcery failed, and simultaneously across the battlefield suits of power armor all fell apart at the same time into small piles of dust. Translated into Bone: After the Custodes charged the Rubric Marines began to slowly turn into dust before saying, “Mr. Sorcerer I don’t feel… Read more »

I love seeing the custodies come out and always think they aren’t going to do very well due a lack of numbers but they always surpise me with just how resilient they are.

First, thanks for really fun battle report!
Second, have some concern. Despite some bad rolls, overal ammount of 6s from Mr. Beard is really high. Think if you check his basement, you may found some altar, dedicated to Chaos Gods. I suggest contact your local Commisar.

i think Stig is confusing reinforcement and summoning points – any reinfocements need to be delared but not summoning points

nice game, I really like the games where the person who films does not play 🙂
As for Mr Beards’ memory lapses, maybe shock treatment? or a big white board with a “To remember list” 😉

Even though Ahriman is a beast as warlord with that 3++. I can’t help, but think that a Daemon Prince with Aetherstride would be a better choice for Warlord. Give him a few offensive powers, move him up the board quick like and then rip/tear.

Other than that great battle. Really shows why I dislike Maelstrom games, random on top of random.

1. The turn the captain charged the T-sons squad he could not due to having fallen back from ahriman earlier.
2. This is why I am not a big fan of Maelstrom…Stigs draws made the outcome nearly inevitable.

SPOILERS – That wiff of a roll at 1hr 54mins. Hilarious.

In matters related to making Thousand Sons sad, any chance of a tactica match between Sons and Wolves? @tabletoptactics:disqus

Stupid Imperium, Abbadons gonna wipe the floor with these fools….

Really though, loving the assassins they seem to have a good impact on the game for their points now, GW have done a great job with them. I’d love it if Chaos finally got an equivalent cant believe its been this long since Nemesis and we still have not got a Spear type character.

Awesome batrep.
Could you try and include the assassin’s into your campaign. And don’t forget the fifth assassin Marbro.
Could Stuffing be included in the dnd storytelling. Perhaps as a random appearance?

Love the roll of 3+ after the big wiff, just a casual here you go, that’s my save thanks. Bone is a comedy genius, Beard should he in every battle report and Stig needs to be in more of them! Amazing work by top guys

This was the funniest, laid back battle rep – I loved it! The casual spider walk-in and all! 🙂

BTW will there be a battle rep with the new box from GW?!

That funky Bonecam opening never fails to get a smile and a little dance out of me haha.

In all seriousness though what does everyone think of the recent new releases the GW has brought out? Honestly as a CSM player I’m a little disheartened, yeah the models are awesome, but seeing all new marines with really good rules and assassins getting buffs, makes me want to beg the corpse emperor for redemption.
