love the Banter 😀
Imperial Knights man… do you think you guys could make a video specifically on how to defeat Knights with different types of lists?
Oh! I loved this game 🙂 Thanks for bringing the Stompa out, even if it really does not worth the points it has. Just for curiosity? What would have been the other name alternative for the Stompa? Really tiny room for improvements for the future: – Gretchins should have make a moral test after the Grot Shield – Lootas could have use the leadership of the Big Mek (it looked like being withing range at least) what is 7 instead of their own: 6. (Not that it mattered much 🙂 – I might have missed, but it seemed the ork… Read more »
As an FYI, whenever lootas fire – you need to reroll their number of shots per the FAQ:
“‘Each time this unit is chosen to shoot with, roll one D3
to determine the Type characteristic of all deffguns that
models in this unit are equipped with when resolving
those attacks.’”
You could mod Cerberus to actually have 3 heads. If the hardpoints with the meltaguns are magnetized it should be fairly easy with some bits from the bitz box 🙂
Name ideas if they hasn’t already been said, Osiris, or Eris(Goddess of discord. Could be a Lady of the household piloting the knight?)
FYI, when a Psyker dies to Perils, every unit within 6″ takes d3 mortal wounds… Don’t think anyone ever remembers that rule ?
that rolls was absolutely epic!!! by both sides. Incredible.
Any chance of seeing the Gargantuan Squiggoth for the orks? It’d be nice to see the more properly priced LOW for the Orks in action. Great game guys, really fun watch.
How about getting 6 minus current round number victory points for a tabling (round 1 = 5, round 4 = 2, round 6/7 no additional points, etc.) Seems on par with difficulty / reward.
I would call the knight cerberus, then i would run him with three big guns weapons so always storm spear on top type of thing, this would represent the three heads of cerberus. I quite like the guarding aspect for a knight’s personality maybe something like The Lygon Arms or something
GG boys. Are you guys going to run a Chaos Knights Army after the new codex drops?
Gg
Loved the Stompin !!! Great battle report chaps as always!!
yesss! an batrep with mono-codex knights!!
another great game, you know you two could do quite well on Blue Peter, you are very funny 😉
A bit disappointed with the the big Ork stompa… isn’t it eye openning to see how easy it is to take down these big models when they have no ++ saves… I feel that knights now struggle with 4++ max, but hey that makes the game more of a challenge.
Cerberus is just such an epic name for a Valiant…
Knight #7: The Collector
knight number 7 should be called Jack Daniel’s 🙂
That was an amazing game. Thanks again, guys!
A years worth of 6s right there
Btw, that was a really fun game to watch, very entertaining as usual.
Well since we are naming that last knight after greek underworld deities, here goes straight from the Britannica site; Thanatos, in ancient Greek religion and mythology, the personification of death. Thanatos was the son of Nyx, the goddess of night, and the brother of Hypnos, the god of sleep. He appeared to humans to carry them off to the underworld when the time allotted to them by the Fates had expired. A little long but it ties in with the theme of those knights. Thanatos to take them to the underworld Charon the ferryman, to send them over the river… Read more »
Loving the ork action, great battle as always guys!
Names knight that episode
good OL’Cerberus
Turn 2: YES MATE! BONE! YES!! MATE! BONE!! YES MATE!! MAAAATE!!
End of game: AWWWW! Bone! Mate! NO way! Mate!! MATE!! MAAAAAATE! BONE! Mate though! Aww mate! Bone! MATE!!
Also for knight VII I propose Orcus – the Roman god of death and the underworld, basically the equivalent of Hades. The Romans really feared him, to the point where even his name was very rarely uttered out loud. And if it was, it was likely for a really important oath or curse. To signify they really meant what they were saying.
Will you be doing a Blood Ravens bat rep soon?
I just about lost it when Bone threatened to burn down the studio. Well done BR fellas.
One other note…noticed you guys transitioned away during some of Bone’s high dice count rolls. I thought you guys did this very effectively. Honestly didn’t break immersion much, and meant you didn’t have to fill a bunch of dead time with banter while one person is focused on the dice.
CERBERUS!! What a name. You should add three Space Wolves wolf head helmets or wolf heads from their special backpack to the tips of his Conflagration Cannon. Three headed dog cannon of flaming death!!! https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NO/Space-Wolves-Upgrades
Why Do you think that the Warglaives are not good? Comparing them to normal Dreadnoughts/Hellbrutes which are played quite a lot on this channel, they have 50% more wounds, they don’t suffer penalties to hit when moving and they have a 5++. Also the Thermal Spear is comparable to a Twin Lascannon, while their close combat weapons is a basic dreadnought weapon with the option to Sweep against chaff. Also they move 14″ and the Knights Stratagems and Household choices are quite nice. All of that for 30 Points more than a Lascannon/melee Dreadnought.
Thanks for playing that. I was looking forward to a pure knight list for a long time. 🙂
Want some more janky knight lists? I recently came up with one:
– Valiant (twin cannons)
– Crusader (Thermal Cannon, Melta, no Carapace)
– Gallant (Bare Bones)
– Four Assassins, one of each
=1750p on the nose.
I’ts so fantastically stupid, I can’t wait to try it out.
Bone, you could have a bright future in voice over work. Your Ork voice is the best.
“Mate, that’s already happened, you can say no all you want. The internet is with me.”
<3 <3 <3
You can take the big mech with custom force field from the index and if he is embarked on the stompa gives you a 5+ invulnerable save
So there has been 1000 name suggestions for knight 7, I’ll throw one out. What about Hanuman?
From Hindu and Thai mythology, was regarded as one of the strongest warriors of King Rama, his purpose was to rid the world of unwanted spirits.
I want to tart an Ork army and I’m thinking of the ork apocalypse vanguard set. Is it a good starting place for a viable list? What else will I need?
Lawrence, what about Erebus for Knight #7. Erebus was the part of the Greek underworld where the dead go right after dying.
Damnit Bone. You keep distracting me to work on my Orks instead of finishing my Steel Legion force up first : ) Great work as always gents!
B-Bone you take a big Mec in mega armor with a KFF, not a normal big mec and you put him in the Stompa cuz the KFF is given to the transport that the Big Mec in MA has but no bubble around the transport
Great game guys! Would love to see you add and play around with a Knight Preceptor in your knight lists!
Knight number 7 could be Ares!! I think it goes well with the others
Stu needs a big mek with force field embarked in him for that 5+ invulnerable save!
As an aspiring Knight player (next army on the list) I always enjoy Knight battle reports. I can understand the dislike of Warglaives but I’ve seen players use them really well as objective contesting units, especially with Raven and Mortan (the house I’d like to try). Keeping them advancing and hitting on the way in seems to be the most effective. Also with the baby knights I’ve seen Preceptors pay off. Though I know not everyone likes them all that much. But re-rolls on Helverins and Warglaives as you roll forward in a lance can change some of the scenarios… Read more »
In Galician folklore, a seventh son will be a werewolf. In other folklores, after six daughters, the seventh child is to be a son and a werewolf.
So clearly Knight 7 should be named Fenrir after the Fenrir Wolf in the old Norse Mythology
Hi Lawrence and Ben, another hi octane entertaining game. I’m loving the character names ol’ Cerberus with his ‘Conflagoration Cannon’ as I think you say it Lawrence – but…how can you beat ‘Stu the Stompa’ and ‘Nige’ Bigtoof’ Daaark Hot! Very awesome, keep bringing the love ?
Ya know, Knight Number 7 doesn’t really need a new name. I for one honestly like it and I think it actually got some character =)
Hey B-Bone. Wanne have some Gorkanaut fun in a future match? Consider playing Goffz (you get to bring out Ghazkul as well 🙂 ). Pick a Gorkanaut, put some characters in him, like a Big Mek in Mega Armor with a KFF (giving ur Gorka the 5++), then put ur Gorka into the Teleporta and boom, turn 2 with ramming speed if you got cp to spare. The fun thing, Goffz gives you additional attacks with a weapon (important), because then you can stomp with his 18 attacks and 6´s give you either an additional strong attack or 3 stomps… Read more »
That rolling!! B-bone won that one in my eyes! ^__^
I only now noticed that Bone’s number is 69, giggity.
Would have use the shock attack gun as warlord and gave him “da killa boss”+ 1 wound to vehicle
And i would have used Big mek in mega armour and embarked, the vehicle transporting it has a 5+ invulnerable save
against attacks made with ranged weapons instead.
kill da hummes 🙂
ALARM YOURSELF WITH THAT LAURENCE! ?
