Jaysus Bone needs someone to roll for him. Maybe break his own hands so a guest roller has to come in to support. Extreme move but desperate times…..

Nice batrep guys as usual. I have played this game for 26 years. In all that time B-Bone I have not seen a player who gets beat up by the dice gods as bad as you do sometimes. You are a great sport as always.

Oh no! I don’t know when this was filmed but I think those marines should have gotten angels of death, right? In any case, a cracking good batrep! Keep them coming!

Not sure if it’s been said but I thought warden of the dead was only vs necron? ( the quin warlord trait)

Every time i see you play the black legion you guys make me want to start a chaos space marine army and forget all about my imperial loyalties!

The music in the outro is one of my favourite tracks you use. I remember it playing in Cast of Players when Griffon is convincing Anrakai to stay with the party 😥

Oh Bone that was some terrible luck but always good to see you play the Harlequins.

One tip is to remember plasma grenades they can do some serious work. D6 S4 -1 is surprisingly effective.

That moment when Bone mocks the spiders failed seize roll, followed by slow, grinding change of fortunes, into a series of hammer blows by lady luck later on, was glorious. Also, great to see actual Chaos space marines, not just units of rabble that have their keywords 😀

Cheers

Good stuff. Closer game is more tactical and more enjoyable to watch. Lets hope the CSM get the new Shock Assault rule in next FAQ, they really need it.

Nice to see you try a different Harlequin troupe Bone, Dreaming Shadow are my favourite for fluff reasons (they are necron hunters you know). If you’re using them again in future you might want to try their unique relic for Death Jesters, it’s essentially a buffed up shrieker cannon, tasty. Loving your work as always fellas

Great stuff again guys. For the Chaos Lord, maybe Eddie Riggs…..because he’s a Brutal Legend….LOL.

More seriously for the Chainsword Marines, try a little help from Warp Time and Delightful Agonies, or maybe some Apostle buffs. As long as you shield them well enough to get them there, they should do OK with Vets.

The Chaos Lord names himself fellas. It’s Brutus. Brutus the Butcher.

Bone why do the dice gods hate you so!! also, you guys seemed to have forgotten that the shadowseer gives a 6″ bubble of -1 to wound infantry. would have helped him survive the deamon prince!

Gotta let Bone name him. Nigel is a hit. Brutus the Brute has a ring to it. Especially if he has the hellbrute body gaurd, call it brute squad. Tight. Great match as well.

For the Chaos Lord. You’ve nicknamed him the ‘Brute’ so why not call him Tartarus after the Brute Chieftain from Halo who, coincidentally, also likes to carry around a big hammer and smash things 😜

Sherman Jones

B-Bone if you take Veil of Tears and cast it on one of the bike units you can prismatic blur one in the movement phase, and the other that you twilight pathways’ed in the psychic phase, getting you a 3++ on both squads each turn for 2cp plus a psychic power. Just an idea to be extra cheeky as you fellas would say 😉

Plasma Grenades are your second-best weapon as a Harlequin… better than a fusion pistol in most situations against hordes and marines. Your troupes and troupe masters have them!

Also try the Curtainfall relic next time! It’s a great dreaming shadow relic for the death jesters. I generally find the shrieker round is not as strong as the Assualt 3 option on their guns btw

I think even Lawrence was starting to feel a little bad for bone’s dice at the end there: https://imgur.com/a/HZrLcYr

Well, I’m wishing I wasn’t at work, because I had to bite back a lot of curses at Bone’s rotten friggin luck there. As someone who is notoriously unlucky in dice rolls, I feel for you, bro.

Nailbiter of a game! What does everyone think about Havoc launchers? Running 1-2 rhinos in every game and never really considered them before …

Oh Bone… that was some of the most awful luck. The sheer number of times the fusion didn’t go off actually, physically cause me to recoil from the screen.

Gg, WP, and hopefully that luck never comes back because good grief that was terrible! Beard would be proud.

Love the match today lads. Love seeing harlequins scooting around the board.

Bone, poor Bone! You are doing great and you almost had it! My heart skipped a beat and my mood darkened when I understood that you’ve lost, but it is Lawrence, what can you do about him taking all your luck. I hope you don’t mind, I have just one strategic error to point out. Maybe you could have played not the mission as it required to leave behind your very expensive Troupes behind doing nothing, and rather play the Spider’s list? Troupes are best used when they charge to with the Troupe Master and I think by turn 4… Read more »

If Bone was going to sing “Kiss from a Rose” then maybe Lawrence could have retailated with “Crazy” every time one of the Helbrutes took a wound 🙂

Any thoughts on Frozen Stars as the Masque Form? 5 attacks base on Harlequin Troupes when charging is pretty tasty I think – a blitzing Solitaire would have 11 attacks!!

If you are using chaos marines, why not take chosen instead? Only 1 point more per model, with +1A and option for up to 5 plasma guns and a combi plasma

Why don’t you mark the master of possession with Tzeentch so you can use the great sorcerer stratagem on him? Nifty if you’re playing chaos undivided.

I like the name of Barbatio the Brute. Barbatio was a Roman General in charge of Infantry. and was Beheaded for Treason. awesome game.

I think the melee marines will become a decentish choice when shock assault becomes a thing. They aren’t going to set the world on fire (the Planetkiller or Vengeful Spirit does that!) but I do think it’ll be able to catch people unaware. Especially if buffed up the kazoo with Veteran’s and say an Apostle with the +1 to Wound (but at that point, take some Greater Possessed, melee Plague Marines, Khorne Berzerkers or surprisingly enough perhaps – chainsword Noise Marine’s instead)

Love seeing the harlequins! A tip for the next game when using Dreaming Shadow: you can hit on 3s when shooting during your opponents turn, even if you advanced in your turn, due to wording in rulebook “A model with an Assault weapon can fire it even if it Advanced earlier that turn. If it does so, you must subtract 1 from any hit rolls made when firing that weapon this turn.”

Honestly I love Bone playing the Harlequins, my favourite faction and he makes them just better. Poor B-Bone he had a great army and some awful luck. Don’t think the game type played to his advantage either. Lawrence you lead a charmed life! Cool tip you could try for a laugh next time you run Dreaming shadow. Hopefully not changed with an FAQ. Run Curtain fall as your relic and combine it with 2 strats to turn a little death jester into a terror in the shooting phase. An Example Made and Shrieking Doom being the stratagems. Hell make them… Read more »
