Loved this battle report. Nice to see Beard come through with another win (He’s getting better!!) even against some pretty filthy rolling from chef.

Hey Chef. Would a Brotherhood Ancient rather than the Paladin Ancient free up a few points for some weapon upgrades? As far as I can tell, they have all the same abilities but have 1 attack less and a lesser WS. As they can only take a single Falchion is the Paladin worth it?
In fact, would this point saving allow you to upgrade your GM to Voldus?

Chef: “We should ban the use of CP re-rolls this game so we can show off all our cool new strategems!”

Also Chef: *spends 4cp on Orbital Bombardment* 😀

You should ban command re-rolls period

The channel bat reps aren’t competition match ups so just go with the will of fate

Unless its been FAQ’d double 6 is a perils of the warp and in addition the power fails to manifest. Super smited that unit of marines to het first strike. Probably did not make much difference in terms of game as im only 25 minutes in i cant tell yet… but.. not the first time its happened. I only say this because i care about quality of your content. If this has been faq’d please forgive the insolence.

Solid batrep. Thanks for sharing the intricacies of the new rules for these armies, and double thanks for trying to avoid spending CPs on command rerolls. Much appreciated!

I mostly spent the batrep imagining how brutal those psychic phases would have been against anyone else.

Question regarding Priority Orders Received + Master the Warp. I thought previously, only your Warlord could achieve this? Hence because the other units successfully cast psychic powers, it would invalidate the priority orders.

Has GW clarified this one? It’s always been a bit of a weird one.

40 mins of lists, discussion, and giving each other s*!t before the battle even begins. A stand out among recent, excellent content. I look forward to TTT playing Dark Angels against Space Wolves in a few months.

Awesome game, and playing a psykers heavy game during a storm was a nice touch! Looking forward to some Tacticas with both armies!

Interesting stuff! I’ve noticed you guys really don’t abuse the charge/fight phase very much, is this intentional since it’s kind of anti-thematic? Like there were several instances where you could have charged a unit, and consolidated / charged into a predator nearby with your GK to shut down it’s shooting, but instead you just moved in a straight line towards the declared enemy. Or trying to abuse the 3″ consolidate + 3″ pile in to tri-point predators / enemies to prevent them from falling back, so you can’t be shot at. Little things like combat tricks would really help armies… Read more »

Loved this battle report, nice to see both armies get a good boost. Chef’s insane rolls pretty much sealed your game Mr beard.
I do love your level of entertainment guys, though youtubes subtitle feature gave me the biggest laugh, especially if you can still listen to what you are saying

So why would Chef need to start his Stormraven in the deep center of those ruins to gain -1 from Tide of Shadows? Wouldn’t the Stormraven get that additional -1 as long as it was touching a terrain piece (e.g. toe-in-cover)? GW has already FAQ’d this language “If a rule says it affects models that are ‘within’, however, then it applies so long as any part of the model’s base (or hull) is within.”

hey guys huge fan, another great report, have watch all your content multiple times, hands down it is the best available! am a spacewolves\craftworls player and am currently building a sons army. so am learning the units and abilitys currently. have noticed a few times and surprised by the way you play all is dust, not affecting aspiring sorcerer, as i read it he does have this ability based on the fact every member of the unit has the qualifying keyword rubric marine or scarab occult terminator, so by definition he is one or the other. checked errata and faqs… Read more »

Lovely game and I’m a big fan of these rules.

I always feel bad criticizing because you guys are perfect but anyway we can make a standard for cocked dice? I saw some in this game that were definitely cocked for both beard and chef that were just counted as misses when they were 100% cocked and then in other cases those same ones were rerolled.

Minor complaint all in all and regardless I love you guys and look forward to each release. Thanks for the good game and the laughs.

That was awesome! So swingy, the edge of my seat has never seen so much wear! great to see both armies having a little time in the sun. Inevitable rule question: does using that relic avoid perils? I’m unsure of the wording, but adding 1 to the casting roll doesn’t change the fact that you rolled a double 1, any more than the grey knight’s built-in +1 would change it. I think perils is on a double 1 or a double six, not a casting roll of a 2 or a 12, per se. So you rolled your 1+1, GK… Read more »

Chef: I hate to be critical, and I hope this doesent cross a line or get too personal, but I think you may need to see a speech therapist.

Baddalion clearly has a strong D sound, yet you continue to inexplicably use a T sound when saying it.

Just wanted to quickly say that because the Tide of Escaltion states the unit has to have “rites of banishment” only the single mortal wound smite are effected by it, purifiers have a different ability and the banner states that it replaces the Rites ability.
