When Chef says for every unit he talks about that they are super cheap for what they do… maybe they need a rework and points bump lol. Glad to see Stig back again, as always a great batrep to watch.
@Stig: No need to apologize for the camera work. Everybody started to do something at some point => you only can get better (and less drunk 😉 ) + i guess Chef was happy that he hasnt to do it the whole time. What i noticed: i think it could have been better for you to leave the AdMech riders at home or deploy them more defensivly. They helped Chef in Turn 1 to get his fiends in a very annoying position. Great game! Love seeing a very shooty army vs a very fighty army, makes for an interesting set of choices on each side. More AdMech is always wonderful, it warms my cold metallic heart. Stig, one quick note, you applied Prime Hermeticon on the Ballistarii to re-roll hits during combat, but that that WL trait only works on infantry. The relic Omniscient Mask works on all Skitarii units, and would have applied to the chickens there, but then not on the Electro Priests. A Big welcome back to Stig, I love seeing your army in all of its Mechanical glory. One thing to note with Divinations of the Magos WL trait is that it’s Models within 6″ Get the Exploding 6’s, not Units within 6″. It might have swung that abominable number of hits from the Balistarii in Turn 1 into something a little more manageable for Chef.
Please name your Dakkabots Ctrl, Alt + Delete! Chef would be so pleased

I know you’ve been away for a while Stig, but I kind of panicked when you allowed chef to sling shot his units in turn one. Think it would have been an easy win for you if you hadn’t done that, you would have had more firepower also could have used the hounds to block key units in turn 2, etc etc. But great game! I’ve really missed you! =)

Another great rep. Really nice to see the Slaanesh army too, absolutely beautiful. Stig, after a couple of games with them, what are your thoughts now on the Serberys Raiders? In both games ive watched with them now they’ve not really done anything, and in this one actually let Chef get into your lines by charging them and then consolidating. Having to choose between the two for the fall back strat becomes a probem. I get theyre cheap, and board control is a thing, but T3/4+sv really isnt hard to remove 3 of them at a time to knock them… Read more »

And I do love watching admech get smashed. Robots in 40K don’t do it for me, that also goes for tau and necrons. My least favourite armies in 40K all lack the human element.

I thought the camera work was fine. Anyone complains tell them to watch the first half of the Eastleigh v Hartlepool game last night. About 20 minutes in I thought the camera man had either fallen over or I had a sudden bout of vertigo! & he was a professional!

Great report! Love that demon army. Chef you need to challenge Lawerence and the Ghosts. I think this force would be a great Tactical report. Your speed and combat brutality would make an awesome game and you can get some souls for “She who thirsts”
Too bad you play the Studio Murder Clowns because that would be fun to watch considering you match their mobility too.

I absolutely loved the game but it would be nice if you guys were mroe consistent with cocked dice. Some times it feels they’re just favourably picked for bad rolls or called not cocked when it’s a good roll for the opponent. If you guys could be more consistent between battle reports it would be a lot better.
This was entertaining and it’s good to finally see Stig back in action. Can’t wait to see him take
command of more of the new Admech units in the future. Awesome seeing daemons in action too, and the speed of the Slaaneshi force is frightening to say the least!
Stig, you probably already know this but when you eventually run Mars with the Balistarii remember that Wrath of Mars works on 5s and 6s with the new +1 to wound strat.
Just wondering, anyone remember a game where Chef’s green dice were bad or Bone’s orange dice were good? Rounded dice are always going to be off due to the tumbling process, but it doesn’t seem like those average out.
Fun game. Too bad all that speed on the Keeper was wasted only getting into a transport. Movement is easily the most important phase for Slaanesh, and includes your own units staying out of the way of others!
Man you really see the limitation of the smaller board size in games like this. Everything in range of the big guns and first turn charge for fast units. So much tactical movement flushed down the drain so that tournaments could play faster. What I don’t understand is why all these channels simply go along with it? Is GW incentivizing it or something?
The more I think about it, the more I think Delightful Agonies (for Daemons) is a waste of a spell slot. I’ve tried some games now where I haven’t taken it and other than the initial ‘fear’ of not having a shrug, I realized that it is so incidental it’s kinda worthless – so I’ve been managing to wean myself off it. Especially now with Psychic Actions (which has it’s own set of problems I think). Of course; an issue is that in general other than those few stand outs, Slaanesh spells are fairly underwhelming and tricky to use right.… Read more »
I hope it does not sound mean because it is not meant to be mean towards Stig but seeing him struggling with the camera gives me another level of apprecation of the camera work of the rest :D. But I think it already got a little better towards the end.

With Divinations of the Magos I believe the wording says “each model” not every unit. So in the first few turns it looks like some of the Balistarii wouldn’t have benefited from the aura.
THE DREADED “A” D:
The more I look at them the less I like the Kastelans in 9th. They do put out a lot of dakka, but at their price you give up so much board control as you really need 3+ of them to be worthwhile since they have tons of D1 shots. With a Dominus babysitter thats a minimum of 455pts that is certainly tough to move off of whatever objective you put them on, but thats it. Awesome bat rep and great to see Stig back. As a tiny criticism could you try and tone down on calling dice cocked? It feels a bit weird watching a bat rep where 10% of the dice are arbitrarily rerolled. Whole facing and only rerolling if it’s unreadable would make it a little smoother.
The Admech clearly found a toaster STC and then.. Slaanesh! ;-P
