It’s a 4 player, 6000 point extravaganza to celebrate the release of the brand new Space Marines Codex! With Bard heavily entrenched and fighting to stave off waves of Emperor’s Children and Slaanesh Daemons, Beard will need to bring his own forces to the battle as reinforcements. Will Spider and Jinx be able to overwhelm the Space Marines, or will Beard’s reinforcements arrive in time to save the day?

This might be my one of my favorite battle report ever!! Love the team aspect and the interactions back and forth. Felt like so much fun! “Sustained” “Lethal” “Oaty Moaty” A couple of hero units (IF Lieutenant) and Drop Pods are epic! More of these battle reps please!
The excitement and tension was palpable all game guys, great battle report! It felt like a battle between Slaneesh and the Emperor, dice rolls were favouring chaos to start with but the Imperium’s faith in the Emperor was rejuvenated upon the arrival of Artemis.

This 2v2 game was quite the treat, probably one of my favorites since I subscribed! It was really fun watching everyone’s energy/ banter throughout the whole game! Hopefully we get more like this in the future 🙂
I’m fairly sure that the Dark Pact was done incorrectly. It’s true that sustained hits triggers on a 5+ instead of a 6 in melee for Slaanesh, but not lethal (as that’s Khorne’s trick), which would still be triggering on 6’s; unless there is an errata/faq that I am unaware of/misunderstanding of the rules. Still, I don’t think this would have changed the outcome of this fantastic and fun (not to mention exhausting) game. Spider: Are you tempted to run a close combat variant of noise marines? Just pure fun from start to finish. I always love playing 2v2 games and the enjoyment translates from the table to the screen in this video. I hope these team games become a regular fixture. I particularly appreciated Lawrence’s enthusiasm when Artemis survived. It is great when players become immersed in the narrative rather than focus entirely on winning. It feels very much in keeping with the design philosophy that has always been a part of Warhammer.
Even compared to your usual high standards this was a top-tier game! Likely one of the best ones I’ve seen from you so far. The energy of having four people hyping each other up coupled with some truly spectacular rolls made for an amazing game!
