++ Mission Rules ++

Destroy the Beacons: At the end of the movement phase, an Infantry unit can perform this action if within 3” of a Warp Beacon that does not have an enemy unit within 3”. The action is completed at the end of the turn. When completed, the Beacon is destroyed, and removed from the battlefield.

Dragonkin Extraction:  At the end of the movement phase, one infantry unit within range of the Dragonkin can perform this action, and it is completed at the end of the shooting phase.

Once this action has been completed this unit is considered to be a Dragonkin extraction unit. They cannot Advance, and they cannot move more than 6” when making a Normal or Fall Back Move.

If this unit is destroyed, the Dragonkin must be placed as close as possible to the unit after they are removed but not within engagement range of any enemy units.

The Dragonkin: This model cannot be targeted by any enemy attacks or abilities, and cannot use any abilities or make attacks. This model is considered part of a Dragonkin extraction unit once they complete the above Action, but cannot move otherwise.

Extraction Point: When the Dragonkin extraction unit is within 3” of any battlefield edge at the end of a turn, they are removed from the board and the Dragonkin is Extracted.

ok so what if Ancalagon drops his younger self at the extraction point and leaves his relics with him and then wonders of into the warp waste (just like you’ve said) because he is so ashamed of loosing so many brothers under his command. After many many years of living with his guilt and wanting to atone for it he searches for power that would allow him to make so it never happened in the first place. So after centuries of learning and corruption he becomes Durazuul’s himself! A perfect conclusion to a time shenanigans plot is always “its a… Read more »

Suspicious that one of the few left alive at the end was the helmeted unnamed ancient… almost as if he knew how events were going to unfold… could he be Oldcalagon!

I love these narrative reports so much. Chef & Beard get so into it. Also – super kudos on the editing to the pair of you. The event horizon eyes get me every time

Absolutely amazing game, loved it all and can’t wait for the next part!!
Although since this is now reaching DBZ levels of epic confrontation, we need a filler episode where Anu’tet tends to his goat/chicken/beast farm and Ancalagon BBQs for his friends

Great job! Love the narrative reports. I wish GW’s campaign books had nothing to with matched play and instead were focused 100% on narrative campaigns.

Thanks guys!

Such an amazing report! Until the end, too much suspense…
@Chef : 2 times you could have use malevolent volley to add 1 atk when shooting turns 3 and 4. Could have help in the end I think. Awesome narrative. A role playing game on the board.
Eager to see what will comme next.

When are all of you going to do another crusade? I love it when you use the crusade rules as they are a great mechanic.

Thank you again for an excellent Narrative report. Really excited for part 3. I think the thousand sons leader was plucked from time and reformed into the demon prince Durazuul. I think Ancalagon realizes that his younger self has to be returned to the moment in time where he kills Durazuul. That way he can pass on the title of Ancalagon to his younger self kinda like the Salamanders do with each of there chapter masters.

“Your life will end at my hand witch!” roared Ancalagon. It wasn’t the first time Anu’tet had heard this claim, he had been ennacting the will of Durazuul for may years now since his last attempt to breach into real space, and in meditative communion with his lord he had heard them again and again. Haunting his dreams, if he had slept. But he found that the time was now – his disk was split assunder by the axe that had just before been responsible for the destruction of Hrath’gor the Faithless, ending his blight on the forces of the… Read more »
