Vampire Counts vs Wood Elf Realms | Warhammer The Old World Battle Report

Emerging from the safety of a once great fortress, now decrepit and crumbling, the vampire counts ride forth to defend their territory against an encroaching foe.

As the wood elves seek to expand their realms beyond the known borders, they cannot abide the rotting stench of death and the dark magics of the undead.

Clashing head on, both forces determined to expand and defend their empires, the war between the natural world and the risen dead rages on. Will the elven forces be able to vanquish the once mighty vampire lords, or will death triumph in destroying the invading forces of the wood elf realms.

Bit of a messy game on the rule side with some being missed/assumed mainly in favour of the Vamps but still loads of fun!

Really hoping AoS 4 doesn’t impact the number of Old World batreps we get.

The Vampire Count seemed incredibly hard to kill with high toughness, a good save, ward save, and Regeneration. Looking at the PDF, it seems as though the Vampire Count doesn’t have a ward save, which might change the dynamics in future. Spider would need to be somewhat more cautious with how he is used.

I think my favourite TOW batrep so far, my niece and nephew watched a few minutes and they’re now charging round the living room shouting “I AM TOUGHNESS SIX”

Jinx, did you let Bard touch that tree man model or something…

I feel like his dice rolls have jinxed the jinx…

Loving TOW content, became a subscriber for these batreps (though am loving going through all your stuff including cast of players which as an ex DM I do love).

I don’t mind watching these batreps, it’s just analog total war for me. I’d definitely watch this over any of the other games that GW produces aside from 40K. Plus Fletcher’s and the teams painting skills alone is always worth a view.

I love watching 40k batreps too, but these TOW ones… I’m smiling like an idiot the entire hour +

Also “I’M TOUGHNESS SIX!!!” is a fantastic t-shirt worthy new slogan/catchphrase… You can use it in TOW, use it for Inceptors in 40K, use it wherever applicable

Loving TOW batreps! Beautiful armies (Praise be unto Phil for the Wood Elves conversion!) and having a great time watching this while playing a bit of Total War Warhammer! Cheers!

I really love The old world and I really love your Old world Battle Reports. It’s a great thing that you also use the legacy Factions. I’m a huge fan of The Vampire Counts and I love to see them in action. Great Game!
