Great battle report as always. Have to say , the stupid tagging of units you dont declare as charged units needs to go away, so cheesy and just a bit stupid in my opinion, Ive never liked that mechanic.

Can you redo the game with Beard/AM getting the first turn?

If you’re taking lots of artillery, you should consider using Veteran Sergeant Harker close to the parking lot. His reroll of 1’s for all Catachan units is great.

This game was really about who got first turn. Imagin the devastation if Beard got to pew pew all the TS troops turn 1.

Also, really fun imagining all the sorcerers being fancy with their Magic, until a group of raging Bullgryns come along and brute strength their way through.

PS: this game is a good example on why Psychic ritual is very iffy.

Thanks for the battle report guys! Enjoyable game!

Beard. Next time think mechanized. 🙂 Recall Bone’s game with the Tallarans against your Nids. Gunlines are so 8th Edition. LOL.

What are your guys thoughts on the first turn advantage in 9th? In the games I’ve played and the ones on the channel it always seems the person going second has so much ground to make up after the alpha strike and board control the majority of games go to the player that went first.

Beard, If the tanks were in the spearhead don’t they gain OpSec as guard units or is that only with the Emperor’s fist tank specialist detachment?

Just watching and enjoying the battle report, i am surprised by beards target selection after killing the Shaman. Wouldn’t the correct play to take out the sorcerer in terminator armour and the exalted sorcerer on the disc as they also became targetable when the tzangor were reduced below 3 models

Any video planned on the upcoming tactical deployment release? If not a battle report, an opinion/review? Keep up the great work guys.

Colonel Straken, Sergeant Harken and Sly Marbo are very good options for a Catachan army.

I don’t think The Chef could have gotten any more central if he tried. Another great game again lads and I’m loving the output speed of content , 20 videos in a month is great amount of vidoes and yeah keep up the solid work. Peac

This is for Beard since he said he wanted an all-dreadnought army. Emperor’s Children walkers of all kinds. I will soon have a game against my SW pal and all his ‘noughts.

Amazing game! Those Bullgryns really powerd up, they were the VIP for this game!
You are right, even though I still haven’t played many games in 9th it’s really all about the primaries…
Thank you for the great batrep!

I have to say, the Chef / Beard batrep-combo has become my favourite on this channel. They took a while to warm up to each other, but the good humour, sportsmanship and even better vibes are palpable. Thank you very much!

Chef, I’ll sell the soul of my first born for you to don a mask and have a Lucha Libre match with El Beardo!

I have to say that game shows perfectly some of the aspects why both armies need a redo. Not having first turn with Thousand Sons can really make or break a game because you need those buffs up before the enemy shoots at you and I really dislike that cult of duplicity is the only viable choice at the moment. You just lack the mobility without it and only a far far second place might be smth like cult of magic. I think the Thousand Sons would probably have suffered really hard if they did not get the first turn.… Read more »
