@Chef I’m late to this (and you’ll never see it, I know) but Mek with Kustom Force Field. Deploy in cover or within 9″ of the Big Mek.
If your opp goes first, use your starting cp and blast that 5++ in a 9″ aura. t1 move forwards and charge.
If you go first, move forwards and be within 9″ to… you guessed it, pop that bubble in t2. Then in your second turn, pop the WAAAAAAAGH and off you go.
5++ t1 and t2, 6+ t3, hopefully you’re in a good spot by t4.

Is it just me or is it for real that James is just plain super unlucky, maybe it’s the curse of Bone and purple “Toga” dice? Is he on the way to becoming a plant?
PS. Jokes aside, the Chaplain failing literally all saves lost the game singlehandedly lost the game, it’s just being unlucky at all the crucial times that get’s you, James…

Argh. I know the flavor of the Founding Chapters is the only way to make vanilla Primaris interesting, but I just hate to see White Scars always used solely as a means to get footslogging Primaris some mobility. Not blaming James, but you guys need a lot more Firstborn. Beard the Metaslayer will show you the way.

Still, as someone that is not a fan of Tempest and its (I’d say by now proven) tendency to penalize the player unlucky with the draw, I miss the greater tactical deliberateness of standard matches. I would love a new version of the old Tactica, with each of you playing only the armies you know and like best at the maximum level and with spaces dedicated to teaching and explaining your choices.

Honestly love the blood axes. I really wish the warlord trait for re-deploying however was pre-game and not at the end of the deployment step. I noticed you was going to after you rolled off for first turn Chef. Is that part of the deployment step? (No sarcasm, I am genuinely asking)

I love me some Orks battle reports! Question about Tempest to you all: from what I’ve seen so far from your battle reports is that only a few of the reports really go toe to toe and often you get a concession early because of too much of a points deficit to catch up. From my own experience the cards usually are super easy to score or almost impossible, making it more of a gamble than any sort of strategy that determines how much you can score.
