In defense of the double turn: 40k also has a roll-off for priority–the difference is that one player gets to maintain that advantage for the rest of the game. By rolling off every turn, that advantage can be traded back and forth. There are many features of AoS that are designed to mitigate the first-turn advantage that is inherent in any “I go, you go” system, but the priority roll-off is the most important one. Your Graveguard can treat charge rolls of under 6″ as a 6″ when they have a hornblower in the unit, could have guaranteed you a successful charge at one point and it can be great for positioning if you just want a longer chargeVyrkos vampires can re-roll their spellcasting for free! You forgot it a few times but really helps getting the spells off consistently

Hi All, really enjoy all your battle reports. I think on the deployment on this one Beards Chaos Warriors might have been deployed too close to Spider deployment area. They should be 9” from the centre as that is where the deployment areas meet. So there should be slightly more than 18” between each army. Hard to tell total though so sorry if I was wrong 🙂
During Turn 2 in Spiders Combat Phase Beard used All out Defense more than once, u cant use the same Command ability more than once in a phase Even if its for diffrent units
