So Cathay coming for Old World, I guess Kislev is a good one to also get back as they had a short term exposure before.. But if they made Cathay to come in to the Old World.. Not far behind might be Nippon also? (Lorewise at least)
Lots of very cool stuff but as a Salamanders player I am very excited for what lies ahead.
The Cathay army is so well sculpted, that even though I can make a full Empire army with 2 War Wagons(1 metal) and tons of old metal things, plastic chariot types, griffons of metal and plastic… Id want to get cities of Sigmar stuff to use as proxies.
@Beard On the off chance you see this, id be happy to send you one of those Deathwing banners for nothing. I’ve got a few of them. 👍
As a passionate World Eaters player…. I might soon be a Space Wolves player instead.
Hm, a very mixed bag in my opinion. Cathay is nice. Not “OMG I NEED IT!!!” nice, but really quite nice. Things likes this should have been the solution for whfb ages ago, not Entimes/AoS (and I’m not a good salesman, so perhaps this is a terrible opinion businesswise). I like the concept of the Nid Kill Team (symbiotic/parasite customisation of things and not just beasts), but I’m not the biggest fan of the final product. I would have left Reavers be feral beast with limited options and instead do this with Warriors (they are the intelligent, synapse ones after… Read more »
Like many here, loving the new Space Wolves stuff. However, I am most excited to see the new figures for the named characters in the Chapter and how they capture the spirit of those epic heroes of Fenris.
Cathay look incredible! The 40k releases on the other hand were not great in my opinion. I dunno whether it was the paint scheme but the TS robots are so weird and out of place. They aren’t exactly a unit we were crying out for either. Not impressed by that at all. Grey knights were nothing short of tragic. Please listen to your player base before releasing something with so little thought. Still no juggernaut riders or red butchers. Death guard get another character because of course??? At least the two chaos characters do look cool. Thank god for space… Read more »
anyone else feel deathguard didnt need another hero? would have liked to see some anti armor either in the form of a dedicated demon engine or a “havoc” equivalent team
Excited for the wolves, they have the most personality of the marines i think, i like what they have done but not yet sure if they look different enough from standard intercessors to be proper wolves. If anyone follows Garrett Grover on insta, thats what the wolves should look like, the guy is so talented its mad.
you were obviously aware of what was coming just did a poor job pretending in your prediction videos. nearly everything shown in the preview show you “subtly” hinted at. really milking the content here. Do you really need to have a prediction video a day before your reaction to the actual thing? just do reactions next time and be more genuine about it.
Normally love all your content and I totally understand the hype for Cathay (I like them too), but I didn’t like the constant digs at AoS. We get it, not a lot was announced for the game. AoS players are trying to come to terms with that (cope, if you will), but throwing salt on that wound isn’t gonna help anybody. I also really don’t get why in the year of our lord 2025 we are still trying to compare playerbases and number of releases for AoS and TOW. Both games are good and both are here to stay, especially… Read more »
Am sad about the Grey Knights, but guess not every range can get a massive refresh this edition – just please don’t scrap them GW!
On AoS – definitely disappointing there wasn’t something more substantive but last reveals have been awesome for AoS with Gitz and Soulblight. Also think playing the dead game narrative displays a bit of a short memory given 40k has a fairly sparse/disappointing couple of reveals later last year and nobody yelled dead game then. GW seems to have a lull/spike thing going on at the mo for different games.
Big agree with Beard on big disks on tables. I understand why people like to use them, but just like charging we can have a conversation and keep our tables looking lovely.
Is it me or do the thousand sons new models look like they are wearing high heels?
Also peeps, saw a short for the big balloon and it looks like it’s getting the storm wolf treatme of a plastic cross in the rear
NGL – im devastated by the ndk upgrade spure…in the edition where “every faction is getting a new model” they didnt even resculpt Kaldor – are unwilling to spend to make a new sculpt for a single infantry character. GK legendsing inbound- never getting a range refresh.
Maybe I’m crazy, but the alternate Wolf Guard Battle Leader bare head gave me pretty strong “Chaos Lord Beard as grizzled space marine” vibes
What is with the chin-udders on Khorne units? They have them in a bunch of Sigmar models too.
I’ve never been interested in Old World, but that might be changing. Awesome minis.
SPAAAACEEEEWOOOOLVEEES!
Yesss. Looks amazing. Here’s hoping for thunderwolf cavalry.
Controversial take: i dont hate the babycarier and think the new weapon options are cool.
AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
The space wolves are absolutely gorgeous 🙏
The Cathay Grand Cannon has a rifled barrel. Now there’s a faction that values high accuracy
Cathay is amazing. Will definitely be going for that when it comes out.
My prediction was “I’m hoping there’s something unexpected that no one knew they wanted until they saw it, like a Jokero killteam or a new Ogryn unit.” – no Jokero killteam 🙁 – but unexpected Cathay and a servitor killteam will do nicely! i like how the servitors look really Borg too
Cathay look amazing! Wish they’d got rid of grey knights baby carrier and had a new death guard unit! The new ravenors look amazing- do you think we’ll be able to use their models in place of current ravenors in 40K?
Regarding Tactical Squads; my money is on the 11th edition launch box giving Intercessors an upgrade sprue to turn them into Tacticals.
So space wolves release is gonna coincide with fletcher’s new paint schedule pretty well then right?
Vindication!
20 unique Space Wolves data sheets….Could one of the be the Wolf King himself….is Leman Russ returning? !?!?!?!
GM TT!
The robots for thousand sons are cool, more like tzeentchian obilterators than helbrutes
Early morning Chaos Lord Beard is my kinda comedy!
Love the cathey feel like the “year of chaos” is very lacking tho
I thought it was a good show, the wolves look good and still more to come Fletcher mush be so happy.
Also Cathay look amazing.
I wish they hadnt used wierdly coloured armour for the TS, it just makes them look so odd. Its once again something that will look great painted normally and from not wierd angles
Space Wolves are the first time I can say I am impressed with a Primaris release. I still prefer the runic armor from HH, but they aren’t as clean as the other ‘divergent chapters’ and have some minimal armor variety. The heads are fantastic though. Full of character. That’s a range refresh. You get a proper chapter specific core for your army to be different. Overall a very, very cool reveal show. A lot of codices for me coming up as well as new Crusade book (always fantastic to get more of those). Adeptus Mechnicus Kill Team is such a… Read more »
Massively happy with the Space Wolves keeping Blood Claws and Grey Hunters but the response to Thunder Wolves question makes me feel like you guys were right on the podcast that they might be gone. The response seemed nervy and look our for Warhammer community post 🥲
My thoughts were the chaos releases were incredibly meh as was the grey knights
The wolves blew my brain
And I’m 1000000% doing a grand Cathy army. It stirred something in my hobby loins
Space wolves yaaaay, look at the beard on that priest! Bloodclaws having pre primaris armour is cool also, my only issue is the super derpy fenrisian wolves
I guessed Armageddon right on your other video 🙂
