I love the way that the miracle dice really shift the basic mechanics of the game for SoB. I would love to see more mechanics like that come out; not necessarily dice-changing rules cuz then that would get samey and we’d have the same problem, but I’d love to see different factions play wildly differently from each other and I think that miracle dice do that very well.
Send me the Bacon of Faith !
Retributors have faithful advance which allows them to move and fire heavy weapons without penalty. Make them argent shroud and these girls are running up the board with Heavy weapons and take no – to hit penalty….
The Chapter Master stratagem should be fine so long as it is tempered… I mean look at Roboute Guilliman as a dice generator is better in every way… But Guilliman isn’t OP because you pay through the nose in points. So maybe make Chapter Master restricted to actual chaptermaster…. Up the CP to 3-4 or add “this stratagem can only be used by your warlord and by use of this stratagem this warlord cannot take any relic or warlord trait”
So stoked for this, can’t wait to play against them and your words to the gods ears that GW does this for every book going forward. This book to me is how all the armies should be and hope points towards an 8.5 edition.
I share the sentiments you all have. Sisters deserved this, they have been waiting a long time to have a fully fleshed out, good book.
Chef necron players can’t have everything… No exorcists… On the other hand you can have wraiths 1 pt cheaper than bare bones 2018 including whip coils =D
3 Valorous Heart Exorcists with a canoness and an Imagifier in the backline sounds good to me haha!
Great coverage and thanks for the video guys!
Been waiting for this this sooooo long. And not at all disappointed! Great coverage, gents. Looking forward to seeing more of this cool lasses shooting everything up! 🙂
Love love this codex. One of the best. Best in that it provides so many options. Yes there are some obvious units to take, but I do not feel that to be able to compete you have to take them. And sisters can be run as any type of army, they are not really lacking in any area (except maybe long range firepower as exorcists are their only option really). And while some combos will be horrific, they are not going to be super annoying to play against. The comment about how the guy has no one to play with… Read more »
I absolutely love the new Sisters, their mechanics, their minis (I’ll join Bone in giving props to the artists that created them, I was a little concerned). I’m happy I bought the limited edition box and I will be building an army even if I have to pawn my guitars! (… I lied, never gonna happen). I am on Bone side, I’ll build a Valorous Heart army cause I love the idea of a tenacious bunch of ladies that will kick all those 40k machos were it hurts! Contrary to Chef I’m not a fan of the Ministorum side of… Read more »
I love this codex, it’s good without remotely being brocken, I really wish the Space Marine codex was more like this. Mortifiers with Heavy Bolters and flails are going to be everywhere, at only 60 odd points they are dirt cheap, very fast, unbelievably killy and with a little fire support that you can fire after advancing becuase assault Heavy Bolters are awesume. The one downside is that they’ve effectively sidelined standard Penitant Engines which don’t seem to be particularly different but just worse for not much less. I’ve played against a Valorous Heart list with ignores -2AP and 4++… Read more »
Beard, Repressor my man, Repressor. M 12, T7, 12 W, you can add a second Heavy Flamer on to them (only 8″ and not Assault) 6 firing ports and a Dozer Ram that gives it 3 attack rolls for each attack. You can find pretty awesome conversion pieces on Shapeways.com to change a Rhino into one as well.
yessssssss, thanks guys!!!!. Looking forward to this.
Still got it wrong beard! Lol – you can use “1 or more” so you can use as many miracle dices as you want in a phase as I understand it
I don’t have any strong disagreement with what has been said in this VoxCast, everything is pretty much spot on. There’s room for improvement, especially on the Order’s Warlord Trait, which are kind of meh for the most part. I am eagerly waiting for an FAQ regarding the interaction between Miracle Dice, using multiple dice as substitude and Fast Rolling. Reason being that the rules for shooting is assuming you’re doing each weapon one at a time for the purpose of breaking down each and every step described. But Fast Rolling says that, as long as models in the unit… Read more »
I would like to see more Sister bat reps, please ?
Yes Beard! Join me in the seraphim spam! ?
Ive got 25 so I’m close to the sweet spot! ?
My 3 penitent engines did me some good work at the GT even if that was mostly soaking up gun fire turn 1 ??♂️
And yeah I was Valourous heart, even in the beta dex version it kept way more alive than had any right to.
This has made me really excited to get a copy myself now. I also really looking forward to seeing chef’s diablo crusaders being a big fan of that game aswell!
I agree with everything you said – and I was so lucky as to get one of the boxes, so now I am a Sister player 😀 One of the things that makes me enjoy 40k, is the fluff, and this book is permeating holiness! I love how each of the orders, show different sides of faith! Valorous Heart = My faith sustains me, even past my body’s limits! Bloody Rose = YOU FILTHY HERETIC DARE TOUCH THE EMPERORS LANDS!? CLEANSE YOU I SHALL! Ebon Chalice = I am holier than thou, your impure magics cannot touch me, the Emperor… Read more »
