Draconia is once again engulfed in war. From their subterranean lairs, the mutant strain of Gue La have spilled out onto the planet surface in a torrent of fire and blood. Twelve hours have now passed since Shas’Ui Atsumo and his men were ambushed and anarchy reigns. Despite his best efforts, Cold Blade has lost control of the capital city of Octavus. Overwhelmed by the sheer weight of numbers of his enemy and the ferocity at which they struck from the shadows, he has decided to fall back to a forward operating base in the woodland region of Nemus. The base has for now avoided the majority of the fighting and from here Cold Blade will be able to keep his supply lines open with the help of the Air Caste. But first, he will need to escape the capital.

Great game and love, love, love crusade. Cant wait till GW nerfs Tau overwatch, still way too stupid for 9th. If you get it for free on unit charged great but no greater good, please lol. Cant wait to see how units progress, cant believe I am cheering on GSC.

Fantastic job gentleman! Love the narrative here. One thing I saw Chef that would have had an impact is the seismic cannon rends on wound rolls of 6+ and would have denied Tau saves at least twice. I only mention it because it would have made a difference throughout the game. I know you guys play a ton of armies and I would certainly miss more rules than you guys do.

Just get something off my chest that has been bothering me for some time now. They need to do something to the charge rules… They can be abused so much, as is demonstrated about 58 min in. You shouldn’t be able to pile into something that wasn’t declared as a target of the charge…. And pile in should only be allowed to be done towards the units that they are engaged with. Maybe I’m overreacting? What does the comment section think?

Does anyone have any issues on the app in iOS not letting you cast or download certain episodes?
You should just replace normal battle reports with these as these are just amazing, they have much more depth! I spent half of this willing for the tau to get payback then when you did the drive by and the screen was just static I actually felt real emotion for the character! And the plasma grenade was hilarious, Just keep the tactica series and everything else for the coaching side!
Ps I know this is probably not doable with the schedule you guys kick out and how much work must go into one of these but I can dream!
When Bone says “he’s splitting his fire” I feel my anxiety hit all new levels. Coldblade is a bad-Shas though- definitely levels of bad-shassery going on in that game. Love it.

I’d love to see y’all update the scars and honors at the end of the video. You’re doing such a great job of spinning the narrative, it’s really a shame we don’t get to see that part.
Great report as always! Loving the Crusade format and really appreciate the effort to build a narrative even in the midst of the game play by the use of the individual names of the units. I’m sure it’s difficult to keep them in mind but very much appreciated.

Great job with the voice overs and music. It makes the narrative that much more compelling 👌. One area I think could be approved upon in the bat reps themselves is developing some sort of quick recognition system for the units (like sports players jerseys having numbers, as an example.) The reason I say this is because it’s just hard to keep track of who’s who (narratively) and I think that if you guys can figure out something that works, it’ll really take these above and beyond “bat reps” in terms of entertainment value. Team – what an absolutely brilliant battle report. The thing that makes 40k the greatest table top battle game in the world isn’t the rules or the gameplay, the balance (lol) or the realism (double lol) – it’s the way that you can invest in your little men (and women) and tell brilliant stories with them. Right, serious talk gents. That was awesome. Just beautiful. A true demonstration that this game can be far more than just competitive haymakers and spam lists and still be the most fun. I haven’t been this eager for another episode since Cast of Players.
This was incredible! I was literally cheering along with the action! Bone, you should have used “Sworn protectors” on your bodyguards for more Combat Tau goodness!
One more thing: Bone mentioned “the living document” which is keeping track of the battle scars, etc, where is this?

Really enjoying this campaign, during 8th my friend and I had a mini campaign of my iron warriors vs his necrons, you guys have inspired me to turn it into a crusade narrative. Keep up the great work gents!

Great work gentleman, I think using T’au sept was a bit of an error since they wreck GSC when they do the only phase they get any shine in LOL but every other choice has been spot on and is pure awesome! Thanks fellas! Love you boys!
