Isn’t the Infernal Rites stratagem 2CP? So Beard couldnt have used it top of turn 1 shooting phase.

You guys blew through those last three turns pretty quickly for such a tight game. You guys talk about stuff a lot off camera, but there was little explanation of the points on camera. With so few models left, in such a tight game, why not just show it?

There’s rules for Spartans and Contemptors and it’s legal to use them for Chaos unless it’s a GW Tournament.
Who’s going to complain about a Spartan?
Please someone correct me if im wrong as im not too sure but on the datasheet for venom crawlers, on the unit composition it says 2 excruciator cannons and on the ranged weapons is says excrutiator cannon (meaning just one?) has 6 shots so shouldnt it be 12 shots?

James unless I missed a change on the Repulsors the Gatling Cannon is standard and then gets traded out for the Las-Talon. They no longer get both sadly. Same with the heavy bolter/lascannons. You do get the insane number of defensive array shots though. So be mindful of that.
Just to clarify, GW said that the Legends of the Horus Heresy models can still be used in 40k. They’ve only said they can’t be used in tournament play because people were complaining that Marines and Chaos Marines had too many options compared to everyone else. So unless you’re laying high level matched or tournaments the you can use them freely. So have at it. You bought the models, built the models, painted the models, love the models, so go right ahead and play the models. Just leave them out of the next League.
the lord of skulls should be called Senor Iron Skull.
Not sure if I am missing something, The rules for the Spartan and Contemptor are included in the “Horus Heresy Legends: Adeptus Astartes” index and the last page of that says which ones can be used by Heretic Astartes… Are these not valid?

The canisters on the back of Khorne Lord of Skulls are obviously filled with blood-skull soup. What else can power such a horrific towering daemon, and what else would a Lord of Skulls tote around?
That same idiot took away my Decimator’s too! 🙁 What a great game though gents. I feel Beard’s frustration with dealing with those tanks though. But I have a counter-riddle o the riddle of why Only In Death does duty end costing 2 CP while the CSM costs 1+ but only goes off on a 4+ (unless Khorne), why does my CSM Armour of Contempt strat costs 2CP while yours cost 1? Fun battlereport that ended up being a lot closer a game than I expected wtih James’s horrendous dice throwing.
Watching this, I found myself curious how the game balance will work with self-created Chapters. The named characters for a lot of the Chapters are so powerful they do affect the army a lot more than the generic characters, so how to account for that and keep things properly competitive is an intriguing question. I’m not even talking about the Guilliman question, but like just the Chapter masters.
Also Nickname for Lord of Skulls should be “John Cleaves”

Beard, I hate to say it my dude but Venomcrawlers have 12 shots and the Mark of Khorne on the LOS gives LETHAL hits on 5+, not SUSTAINED 👌🙂
Haven’t finished the match but possible name for the Iron Warrior Lord of skulls is: Flesh’s Bane or. Imperium’s Bane.

The same idiot who took away the rules for Beard’s Contemptor and Spartan also stole the rules for my multiple Contemptors, Leviathan, Spartan and Sicarans.
I’d say he’s a very active idiot.
I recently discovered that the Sicaran (without side turrets) is exactly the same size as the Gladiator… I hope TOs will allow me to use them as stand-ins and that they are not on the same level as the aforementioned IDIOT (may he be greatly inconvenienced in multiple embarassing situations).
