Should this be filed under the State of Play category?

So hear me out. Ancient Weapon on a Judiciar to give him S9, -3AP and Damage 3 with Precision on his Executioner Blade. And he Fights First. Pair him with 6 Bladeguard who can finally all ride in a Repulsor Executioner to roll up the board, jump out onto an Objective and say “come at me bruh”.

If you missed it or not, just mentioning it here. It wasn’t in the Balance Dataslate, but Death Guard did get a little ‘nerf’ in their Codex Errata (on the same day), wording changed for the 6″ deepstrike so that it now can only be in your turn and not per rapid ingress

I only want to say, that a 2 Storm Lord list with about 8 Sentinels for flanking support, is the only Guard list I am toying with building. I absolutely support Bard doing such a list 🙂

Here’s an odd one. The new FtGG rule says that a unit is an Observer unit if it is picked at the start of the shooting phase to spot an enemy unit and a unit is a Guided unit if it is not an Observer unit. It then says that any models from your army with the FtGG ability that aren’t Observer units get +1BS against Spotte units and Ignores Cover if the spotting unit has markerlights. Weirdly it doesn’t say that to be a Guided unit the unit has to have the FtGG rule, so it reads as though… Read more »

I got a question too: I was wondering about something in the new Tyranid detachement. There is no specification how much or what kind of units you can deploy out of a tunnel marker. Let’s get crazy and say you can set up a bio titan. For sure you have only 18″ of space around the marker. I have no idea if he will fit in there. And can you set up as many units from reserves as you wish? An area of 18″ leaves sooo much space for Carnifexes, Screamer Killer etc. If there is no restriction of units… Read more »

Question:

Can you make 2 Trygons Characters and have 3 non-character Trygons aswell?
Or does the rule of 3 still applies?

I’ll be honest, I’m a bit apprehensive about this dataslate. Most of my armies got mild buffs (Necrons, Custodes, and Salamanders successor Marines), but I have real concerns about T’au gaining effectively Oath of Seafood, and Death Guard were already a concern. And sorry Bard, but after having to chew through FORTY Deathwing Knights at a GT a few months ago, they really didn’t need the -1 to be wounded 😅 Hopefully it doesn’t end up as bad as I fear

I don’t get what the point is of buffing the Screamer-Killer when you can’t buy the damned model!

I really wanted some plus ups for the Deathwatch. It would be great if Kill Teams could pick up to no more than 5 of any combination of unit types, except basic units. For example you could them run 5x Aggressors and 5x Eradicators, or 7x Hvy Intercessors and 3x Eradicators. Also, I would love to get 3x squadron of 3x Valkyries, and get an Air Calvary unit back. They are killing the flyers and it’s not my favorite. Losing the Storm-Fang was a bit pants.

Jinx what is your thoughts on the new Datasheets for Raveners?
Think it’s pretty nice that they split it

Transorracular warfus enhancement, even though the sound of it is obscured by your rad bombardment, if you say it loud enough you’ll always sound binharric transorracular warfus enhancement. 000000100001100000111100000001111.

Congratualtions on being the first channel on YouTube to convince me to become a paying customer 😆 After flirting with the game about 30 years ago and having a small Space Wolves army I drifted away (but kept up with the lore to a point) The draw of the game has come back to get me with a vengeance though and I am now eagerly awaiting my nre Wolves delivery, currently purchasing brushes, tools and paints and can’t wait to get started – properly this time. It would be fair to say TableTop Tactics have beena major contributor to this… Read more »

My assessment on the issue with space marines is in that they are still T4. In an edition where weapon S is going through the roof and vehicle T now starts at 9 for a rhino, the difference between T3 and T4 is so negligible when so many weapons (especially melee weapons) seems designed to kill space marines. 1 shot kills 1 model. So If my guns are hitting on 3s and wounding on 3s with AP2 damage 2 then how is a space marine any harder to kill than a sister of battle. The recent Daemon changes upped the… Read more »

Among other things I was a little shocked to see they didn’t give the Tsons rhinos Firing Deck back. But otherwise my bugs friends and I are having a lot of fun chatting about the lurking horrors below!

Tyranids detachment seems absolutely amazing! Such a fun rules concept & I’m looking forward to seeing Jinx run it! Dark Angels detachments & rules buffs seem absolutely mighty too!
Tau are the big winners though, such a big improvement to their rules!

I use the Biles Creations detachment. I give all my infantry +1 to BS. As we all know. CSM will then all be hitting on 2+, this..is amazing. I take 2-3 squads of Havocs, one las-cannon, Auto cannon, and Missile launchers. 5 man each. I set them up in the back away from no mans land away from anyone who can melee(usaly on top of ruins) So when they get plinked off i use Biles stratagem that will regenerate the squad. Its pretty good. So i am hitting on twos and regenerating marines. And also if i need to i… Read more »

The changes to my armies have either a minimal impact or are wildly awesome. I agree 100% with what you all were saying about those points changes in a world with no wargear cost, too.

The Nid detachment rules for me feel like they’d work really well for GSC, with more cultists scrambling up from tunnels and such, poor GSC 🙁

Allarus Custodians going down makes sense in a world with DWK and DST who’s rules arguably are so much better and makes them more killy or tough. It is criminal that Allarus cost more.

As a Guard and Votann player this was a rather sad Balance Dataslate

I have Tyranids, Sisters and Salamanders as my three armies. A Trygon, Zephyrim and Aggressors are the units I’ve been taking out of love despite their struggles, it’s almost like GW read my mind when making this dataslate!
