I think this is my fav battle report ever. Total nostalgia back to the early naughties with my best mate taking on my space marine scout squad with an undergone zombie horde, inspired by the Ian Livingston Space Marine book! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you guys are doing the hobby my way, all love, passion and narrative 🫡 TT is the hobby in hero mode!!

This was really fun to watch. I’m hoping for a narrative campaign like this but no horde waves, just OP characters and narrative. Could be a mix of DnD but with warhammer homebrew rules. I really like Cast of players but as a viewer the DnD combat is not the games strong point imo. I actually preferred cthulhu because it was more narrative and less combat. But maybe it’s just me.
This right here is what 40K is all about!! The atmosphere, the story the fun and laughter.. was just so epic!!

This was awesome! Can’t wait to see Caedo join the fray. Might we see the Deathwatch in a Horde game in the near future? That could be a cool segue into a Deathwatch RPG campaign between seasons of A Cast of Players….

That was awesome! I love the look of horde/hero mode for a super fun and thematic game. Brother Chairon was legendary with his Heavy Bolter. Courage and Honour Brothers!
This reminds me of the space Marine movie list they had in white dwarf a long time ago. Some of you long time players may remember this I want to say it was 4th edition? Each marine was like 100-200 points. I sent pictures of the list on insta messenger for some cool nostalgia.
I love this game mode it walks the line between 40K and narrative perfectly. I’d love to see a repeat of it with the assasins vs chaos cultist / genestealer cultists + Guard

It is definitely more narratively pleasing to see this type of battle rather than a full army of space marines.
Just need a campaign next which mixes cast of players and hero mode. everyone picks a character and fights the horde and environment.

That was such a blast. Also the start of the game really captured my experience with Space Marine 2 so far.
My favorite moment might have been the thunderhawk missile out of nowhere to the side of the confused Screamer Killer. That was such a narrative moment.
This made space marines feel like space marines

Currently watching on you tube.. this is fantastic. I can already imagine this being used for different factions… 3 custodian shield captains of different kinds would be perfect for this narrative style!!! But equally could have some fun making 3 ork war bosses trying to prove who da biggest and best is! Or aspiring chaos champions!!! All with tweaked rule sets to make them true heroes!!! No idea how you do it but so glad you do would happily see more of this! Huge fun! 😎
