Bone is SO a Jedi. Love the mustache from the 1800’s!
This is a Spider Service Announcement! Hello Mr. Spider, The Endless Gift restores a wound at the end of each phase you take damage, not each turn; which makes your Exalted Great Unclean One even more resilient. Not sure if it would’ve made a difference in this game, or your decisions thereof. Perhaps take Living Plagues out for a lovely jaunt, instead? That way you’d have a sweep against infantry and such. Granted, ignoring half damage is pretty crazy. Also/Alternatively, you might replace Blessed With Corpulence with Pestilent Miasma, seeing how you play your GUO up close and smelly-like. (You… Read more »
Great battle report! Fun lists (I was a little dubious seeing so many vehicles in the Mechanicus list), well-balanced back and forth game. Outstanding!
@Bone … the very first thing i said to myself when I saw the both of you at the start was ” Oh man… I sure hope Bones talks about his mustache wax!” As a mustache wax user to another, that is the absolute truth.
Probably confirmation bias, but it does seem like Lawrence’s dice rolling is less ridiculous since he stopped using the red dice.
Bone should try using those dice. For science.
Really close game a good watch. Loved watchin blooby trundle round the board killing things chuckling as he went 🙂
The new relic flail looks pretty great for the GUO, esp. with the WL trait that makes him hit harder/more
Lol I’m with B-Bone, eldar have everything.
I will never understand why their players still complain!
Did you enjoy using the Ad Mech, Bone?
Great job bone at playing ad mech for the first time. Lots of synergies and aura abilities to remember. A few mistakes but that is to be expected with a complicated army like Ad Mech. Can’t wait to see the new units from Stig!
You won Bone ! Great game, the emperor protects
The review is awesome too. I can’t be happier I subscribed. Not for nothing but these guys are kinda workaholics. So seriously thank you guys (and plants) for working so hard.
Why did I wait so long to subscribe?! Shame on me! Glad to be binge watching now. YOu guys probably get this asked a lot. What shelving is that you use for storage?
Bone using the force to fetch a bottle from across a room… still more believable than Spider being able to take an Ork in hand-to-hand combat.
And you should really have an army on the channel called the Lucky Ducks. Maybe a Guard regiment?
Just out of interest, are the facial hair references in any way meant as a good natured/tongue in cheek ribbing of Moarhammer/Liam?
How did you get Leonardo Di Caprio on the channel?
Thats so awesome!
Next stop: Henry Cavill!
Those skorpius desintegrators are SO cost efficient for their points… a little too much if you ask me.
I am happy that B-bone is kicking up the banter. With 9th looming these 8th edition reports are quite as interesting. Although team Tabletop Quarantine got me through the last few months.
Bones with another win!????
Yes gents. Another great bat rep. Papa nurgle has been calling me a while! Any word on qhen we will get the psychic awakening voxcasts mentioned in this video?
Great report! As someone who has recently started AdMech I like the new content for sure! Just wished there were some new relics, since that’s probably the absolute weakest part of the Codex, haha.
Also your moustache looks absolutely fantastic, BBone. I am all kinds of jealous here.
Congratulations on the win Mr Bone! Really well played against the typically disgusting rolls that Lawrence gets.
I hope the sweetness of this victory goes some way to assuage the anguish of the Brass Scorpion meltdown against the Ultras ?
I’m usually doing the washing up whilst i start watching the start of your batreps, but as bone has been speaking about ‘the force’ so much the washing up is on hold. Can’t hold a plate whislt laughing ? ?
Before the lockdown Chef had a video trying to make GSC work by using nids with them, was great. I’ve been really struggling with how to get gsc to work, they’re the army I painted with the most love. I’d like to see Bone or Lawrence take a swing at trying to make gsc work with either nid or guard allies too. Thanks for all your hard work guys, you bring me so much laughter and enjoyment.
Guys, boats do not fly, they shouldn’t be shooting after falling back, it would change a lot in case of scorpiuses killing the hound that tagged them earlier. Or am I missing something?
To back up the Bone I’m pretty sure i used the force once as well. It was late at night and I had a tape playing whilst i was lying in bed (yeah THAT long ago). I wanted to turn it off but cba getting out of bed. When suddenly half way through a song it just stopped like someone had pressed the stop button.
Clearly it was the force. We need to set up a Jedi temple now. .
How viable is an army made up of knights with just CC weapons?
Whilst the great unclean one is sometimes a little underwhelming offensively, with revoltingly resilient he really is a beast. When you run the stats on it, then before you even take into account his invulnerable save, the 4+ shrug makes him equivalent to roughly 36 wounds. Given that he’s saving 1/3 of attacks with his invun as well, and his the potential to regain wounds, he could really be interesting now
i’m actually painting up death guard for 9th edition so hoping they get a decent buff from war of the spider. looking forward to seeing bones take on the book.
you are going to have plenty of spare space around the edge of the board for the dice trays.
Loved it great game guys , nice to see the Bone as victor for a change well done that man ???
Thanks for the battle report guys. It was great to see the great unclean one. I hope engine war makes greater demons more common as they are some cool models
That mustache is INCREDIBLE, Bone. Please never destroy it. Destruction of natural wonders is an act of the Dark Side, and you’re a Jedi. Right?
Good seeing a GUO on the board. That was a really good battle and very close. How about souping Nurgle demons with a Deathguard force in a future report?
That is a magnificent ‘tache, Mr. Bone. Magnificent.
“I’m becoming a plant!”
Easily my favorite thing right now.
Not that it really matters, as I forget almost all the time too, but GUO’s also have D6 nurgling attacks. While I’m glad that GD’s have been at least looked at, I remain sorta disappointed with Daemons stuff in Engine War. What about rules for the Terror or Courante legions of Slaanesh? What about rules for the Khornate Blood Crusade, or Scintillating Legions from Tzeentch or any of the Rot ones? I guess that’s my problem as well, I would probably never have been satisfied. Where are my extra warlord traits strategems? I still think GD’s are underperforming, although technically… Read more »
#PlantBone lives!
First thing I was thinking afther the intro: It was colonel Mustard in the game room with his duck hunting rifle 😀 !!! (sory it’s late and I’m tired :p )
Dont worry Bone, my face trimmers broke day 2 of lock down, so I just grew and continued to grow my beard.
It is very… santa
Bone, I know that you had a lot going on playing the army for the first time, you did forget that if a model other than a vehicle is within 1″ of your Vanguard their toughness is reduced by 1 so you would have been wounding on 3’s with your stubbers. Unless one of the psychic powers was +1 toughness and I missed that.
Great stuff guys as always. As AdMech is one of my primary armies I am always happy to see them on the channel, even if Stig isn’t piloting them. Super looking forward to the Engine War breakdown as I have my book, but always wanting to hear the teams thoughts. This was the big one for me as AdMech and Imp Knights are my main forces. Also as Stig has pointed out (and am sure he told you in the pointers for AdMech), Daedalosus for 50 points is an auto include in all but the most mobile of armies (as… Read more »
great battlereport! great use of admech units though its a damn shame about those electro priests, i feel like the only thing that they could charge and have a good effect on would have been the war dogs but … yeah. its interesting seeing dedicated transports kept out of combat and their guns actually being good intead of going in and eating all the overwatch like with SM
Twenty minutes into this report and I am laughing sooooo hard! Bone you are on true form and your force story is awesome! And saw a return of Thug Life graphic…. been a while! ??????
Great game guys. Stig should be proud of you Ben!
Admech have a lot of cool stuff and the Knight allegiance traits are a great free buff. One of the Admech traits where vehicles regain a wound a turn i’d like clarification on, can that vehicle also be healed that turn? If yes I think it’ll be fantastic but otherwise there may be better options.
… definitely not using the force to help with your dice rolls though, eh Bone? 😀
awesome report, great fun to watch. I can’t wait for your ‘Engine War’ video! super interested to hear your thoughts on the new daemon stuff, specifically Khorne as a mono list. I’ve been running a threat saturation khorne list which has been doing pretty well so the new book can only make it better right? blood thirsters will always be awesome for me regardless of what others think. they’re just epic!
Thanks for the continued entertainment during lockdown life chaps. Stay safe and keep sane.
Like the tash Bone suits you sir
“I think if I had the force, I’d use candles more” is probably the weirdest and greatest thing I’ve heard this year.
