++ Mission Objectives ++
MISSION RULES
Lights Out: At the end of each player’s Movement phase, roll one D6 for each Lighting Area: on a 1-3, until the end of the turn, the lights in that area turn off.
When selecting a target for a ranged attack, if the attacking unit or the target are wholly within a Lighting Area that has the lights off:
* If the target is more than 9″ away, that attack cannot be made.
* If the target is within 9″, subtract 1 from that attack’s hit roll.
When selecting the targets of a charge, if the charging unit or the potential target are wholly within a Lighting Area that has the lights off:
* If the potential target is more than 9″ away, that unit cannot be a target of that charge.
* If the potential target is within 9″, subtract 1 from the charge roll (to a maximum of -1, regardless of how many units are in Lighting Areas with the lights off).
Underdog Bonus: If one player is the Underdog, that player starts the battle with 1 additional Command point.
LOCK IT DOWN!

* They control one or more objective markers.
* They control two or more objective markers.
* They control more objective markers than their opponent controls.
This objective cannot be scored in the first battle round. In the fifth battle round, the player who has the second turn does not score any victory points at the end of their Command phase; instead, at the end of their turn, they score 5 victory points for each of the above conditions they satisfy (for a maximum of 15 victory points).

THAT INTRO!!! GOOSEBUMPS!!!
I love Beard’s Narratives, so much fun! Please do an Imperial Knights story!
Such an amazing way to start a new campaign. Can’t wait for part 2!
Great work with these, gents! Loving the boarding action content, excited to see how this game type evolves as we get more content from GW.
Narrative boarding actions? Yes please!
Brilliant! The pacing of these boarding actions is fantastic. It helps to really drive the narrative, great stuff
Awesome stuff as usual, cheers for all the effort you guys put into keeping us entertained.
Very cool, looking forward to the next mission!
That was awesome! Can’t wait for episode 2, and to play some boarding actions for myself!
epic story!!!
i image the knight get teleported back to the ship, en his grievous body gets put into a dreadnaught chasis.
keep it up guys!! This is what warhammer all about, great story’s. i like it more than the pure tournament play.
Very cool and immersive, looking forward to the next episode!
Love that this narrative builds off the last one, Beard is smashing it with these stories
I get so excited about narrative reports 😁 My favourites
Yay ! Narrative
i love that this narritive is linked to last one’s! Also like that the ‘little fighters’ of the Commune took down a termi 😀
Lastly, the corrupted servoskull is to be feared!
Boarding action is super good
All the action lots of content ity bity package what’s not lo love
Great use of the new game mode, it’s like it was made for Narratives.
The cultists are an absolute beauty, nice job Fletcher.
Amazing Show! I models are looking mint and I cant wait too se what happens next!
awesome game. Bard seems much more in his element in Narrative (as his namesake would imply). cant wait to see more
Narrative ftw!
Love the narrative reports, you can tell how much fun it is for beard and bard. Especially bard! Look forward to the next game!
The previous narrative arc was an epic for the battle of fort condor. It is a pale comparison to the story starting here on the Cinderark.
I can’t wait for this story to unfold!
It seems much of the design comes from the mind of Beard, I’m curious how involved the whole team is behind the construction of concept and mechanics with these narrative draws.
I’m so glad you guys created a Dark Angels mission that doesn’t revolve around the fallen. I’ve been collecting the 1st legion for 20 years and get so frustrated with GW seeming to say “Oh, it’s the Dark Angels. Guess we better involve the fallen.” It makes them so 2 dimensional and I really loved seeing them do something else and exist in another narrative.
I am at minute 28 and I just had to pause because it is TOO MUCH.
I can’t handle the awesome!!! Ahhhhh
This is so good. Exactly what I wanted 40k to be – love the little homebrew elements too – feels like reclaiming the game and bringing it back to story, rather than stressing over balance and what’s ‘allowed’. 10/10.
Amazing job everyone the boarding action and narrative content are great would love to see how the story unfolds maybe Slade makes a guest appearance. keep up the good work!
When a narrative begins like that, then the coming crescendo will be awesome, with lot of fun, flames and glorious combat!
Oh dear lord, more of this please! Boarding action is already my favorite new content but now you’re adding an inquisitor into the mix? An absolute win!
I’m loving these boarding action battle reports! Especially this one with the space hulk vibes! Keep up the amazing work!
For the Lion!
Amazing video and specially an amazing narrative!! This is a great example of how boarding actions allows for a fun story element to its games 🙂
Just a question but have you checked out the white dwarf boarding rules too? Including them would be awesome (if you haven’t started filming them already lol)
Thanks again!! 🙂
Fantastic as always, great to see a narrative game using boarding actions
that first charge roll, classic
This was amazing. Thank you gentlemen.
Fun game I do like the little narrative moments in these games a lot.
This was so insanely epic!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Excellent! More Beard narratives! Keep them coming!
Absolutely incredible work chaps! Love the thought that went into this narrative!
I miss the days when Dave at mini wargaming, put the same effort into his narrative campaigns, rather than just get rich quick schemes with questionable IPs!
Hey gang the embedded version on the website didn’t take properly… please resolve so I can watch without the ads 🤪
Hey all! Getting serious ‘Golden Child’ vibes of this narrative – half expected the bard to teleport in Eddie Murphy!
Oh how I love the narrative reports! These are so good. AND it’s a boarding action narrative 🤘
Great to see the narrative picking up Arks of Omen so quick! This’ll be a lot of fun to see where it goes!
Also, I hope (whether in narrative or regular reports) we’ll get to see some Custodes in play. I’d love to see what some Allarus Terminators can do in those cramped environments
Boarding Action is rapidly becoming my favourite 40K content. The narrative version is awesome! Well done all.
THE ANOINTED ONE! Hope he makes a return
What would be awesome is they have to fight their way through to like a shuttle bay to try and set off a flare or steal a shuttle to get back to their ship. Oooh! Or maybe one of the mission could be getting INQUISITOR HEIDEGGER!!!! to a control panel so he can exorcise the demon out of the comms system so they can contact for reinforcements Oooh Oooh! Or they have to fight through to the engine room to knock out the warp engines before they can translate back into the warp! Ooooh Oooh Oooh! You could split the… Read more »
Sorry if I missed this, but it was mentioned that the child was captured in an earlier game. Which game is this, I’d love to watch the set up for this game.
Thank you for this. The mutual excitement helped me get over a slump in my own hobby. Love the narrative reports.
Absolutely amazing video!!
Absolutly stunning cinematography in that intro! Love it! 😀
YES! <— I think that sums it up.
Looking forward to part 2!
I’m not sure how much of a hindrance switching the lights off is for a space marine, but the game looked really fun as always.
