Have no fear Beard! They will still crash against our Terminators and melt to our combi-weapon Dev Wounds. IRON WITHIN IRON WITHOUT
I think power armour hordes are really cool but from a fluff perspective doesn’t feel that realistic (although for emperors children I do think it’s a bit more appropriate) also the playstyle is a bit boring just playing board control.
Good conclusion and analytic review.unfortunatly theres someone constantly shouting and drama acting which makes it harder to listen and watch to but maybe its to praise Slaanesh ?
I bought a box and im excited! I am curious, I know they have Daemons on in the codex. What I would ask, is do they have named ones such as Syll’Esske ?
I do agree that they are amongst the best, if not the absolute best in ‘slot’ in the game for Tormentors/Infractors. And I’m not the least bit disappointed about it. I don’t think they are OP either, and yes they are ‘really nasty’, but despite being ‘just marines’, they need to do a lot of heavy lifting as the rest of the army do not have huge slew of selections that other armies have (currently at least). No Predators, no Helbrutes, no Forgefiends, snipers, Vindicators, no Defilers, no Venomcrawlers, no Disco Lord. The long ranged anti-tank weapon I think they… Read more »
Not a fan of the combo of infiltrate and sticky turn 1, that just feels like too much of a head start against any army that doesn’t have infiltrators or fast melee of their own to contest. Precision on everything also seems a little much (especially the plasma/melta). The sergeant makes sense but the whole squad is just silly, how do all 10 dudes duel one target without getting in each other’s way? 😛
Otherwise, I do like that the battle line feel significant.
Hey guys i have a practical question about the box, do the shoulder pads have relief emperor’s children iconography on? The reason I ask is I want to do mine as a Slaaneshi Iron Warriors force.
Dedicated to perfecting thier siege craft. Shiny clean armour and such. I’m just trying to work out how much faff I’ve set myself up for. Haha.
you complain when battleline suck, you cry when battleline are good
youre the exact reason why 10th is like this.
I know it’s comparing a Codex and datasheets to a detachment, but it does feel like the Alpha Legion/Deceptors have been done dirty here. Once you’ve infiltrated your max 3 Legionaire units you effectively have no detachment rule, and the enhancement/strat selection isn’t particularly exciting. Granted do you get cultists too, however the EC getting the potential for 60 infiltrating marine bodies with sticky objectives and a slew of other datasheet rules and a detachment ability/better strategems on top of that seems *ahem* rather excessive. And that’s not even taking into account the natural fallback/advance and shoot/charge that EC get… Read more »
I think DW Vets are pound for pound the best unit in the game. And I don’t just mean ‘best’ from a standpoint of winning you the game; I mean ‘best’ from a fair and balanced design standpoint. They can be kitted out with a variety of war gear, from devastating, elite killing melee weaponry to withering ranged firepower or any mix of the two. They have a wide variety of leaders and stratagems to lead them which further boost their potential. But they don’t ’get it all for free’. They still need help; without leader or stratagem support, their… Read more »
I think it does a good job of showing how “perfect” EC consider themselves to be. Other Chaos armies let the cultist chaff swarm objectives, but EC are so self-interested that they have to do it all themselves, and they have the honed skills to do it.
Also! Really hope the old EC army isn’t going in the bin! It’s got to be one of my faves!
My Night Lords Noise Marines are going to be spicy next to a Hellbrute! (Sustained and Lethal)
After the EC Codex just wondering what is going to happen to Rubrics when there codex drops!!!!
A very cool book but also some really weird choices. From someone who’s into the books, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a lot of EC players using the models for CSM. Real shame there’s no Helbrutes or Havocs, especially as there’s a bird.
Hoping to get a box from FLGS but not sure why when I have so many projects already ongoing. I think the fact that I have about 800ish points of painted Slaanesh daemons is pushing me to buying. I don’t want 2k Slaanesh daemons so this offers a compromise.
While the Battleline could been higher in point cost I like them. How often did you guys complain how Battleline units play no role and people not taking them. Now there are solid units and you complain about it ^^
I think their weakness to overcome Tough Units and in the same time arent really tough themself balance them out
Of course they’re busted… It’s a new army 🤷🏼♂️
