I get the idea is to show off how cool the space wolves are. But you did the orks so dirty this game. I couldn’t get past the first turn. Using the waagh turn 1 and just moving up just to make the Wolves charge easier. Using Da Jump while in the waaagh, and teleporting away, refusing to attempt a charge. And then not using Counter Offensive to actually attack before both units were both killed off. You guys went too far setting up the wolves for victory. (Sorry for the negativity, I love your battle reports, it was just… Read more »
What a fun game! Completely agree with you both on the game size, 40k was always a skirmish game and it’s definitely gotten away from that over the years.
It’s worth remembering that most people aren’t tournament players or Youtubers. The vast majority of games played by most people are not at 2000 points. Before 10th stopped supporting small games, even games at gaming groups were mostly under 1000 points. Big games require models, time and commitment that a lot of people just don’t regularly have. It shouldn’t be surprising that 1000 point game can be fun; that’s what most people are actually playing. That’s also why boarding actions were so poorly received even though a lot of Youtubers seemed surprised by that. Since most of us were already… Read more »
Long time fan and space wolves player. Great to see them back on the channel. Great work as usual.
Apologies in advance for the rules lawyering…
Just a heads up, devastating wounds do indeed inflict mortal wounds now, but they do not spill over like normal mortal wounds, they are allocated as normal damage would be and excess damage is lost.
I’m off to enjoy the rest of the game now! 🖤
I am not sold on smeller games because there Is nothing to fall back on. No plan or models. This game was just a demonstration of how uneven It usually Is. Over by turn 3 Is meh.
Anyways kudos on the models. They look great. Used to collect Wolves once, sad about everything that got squatted.
Wish yould do some combat patrols once in a while.
Also, as some one who’s just signed up to a 1500 pt league to play my first actual games, could you do some of those size, preferably with knights so I might have a tiny scoobies about what im doing/army building cheers
What was the point of Waaghing Turn 1? Didn’t even charge anything.
Like others have said here, really enjoying the smaller games (and Boarding Actions while you were still doing them). 2K is just too much for my brain now. My group mainly lays 1K and we prefer that scale of game.
Hi. What’s the email address to send painting projects too again please?
Nice to see a smaller game! 2000 points is just mental…
My group have found 1250 to be the sweet spot.
We call it Shorty-K 😂
I’ve been playing more 1k recently with pals, it’s a lot less populated than the standard 2k seems to flow nicely, even managed a few games in one night on occasions.
As per usual this was brilliant to watch, now I’m off to find moccasins
Love the new wolves rules just hope my kit bashed battle leader (my profile pic) is still usable but don’t think so 😢
The smaller game size was a welcome change. Though, perhaps the current rules are a bit too ‘killy’ for a skirmish level game?
I used to love the 40k in 40 minutes from way back when and would love to see some smaller games on the channel, if it were viable.
Also, on that note, when might there be some boarding actions games again?
Cheers
Love the smaller point games. This was great fun
down to the last boot!
What an amazing job by Fletcher … the minis are absolutely beautiful 👍👍👍
Loved the smaller battle size! I hope to see more of these battles on the channel. Also: amazing job as always Fletcher! Makes me want to start a Space Wolves army. But I have Emperors Children and Tau still laying in wait…
Been a long time coming, well worth it, please unleash Fletcher for a battle report! Wolves vs Flesh Tearers for all the carnage!
Those wolves are gorgeous, Fletcher. An entire Warcom article was well deserved. Love the wulfen(?) guy, arms outstretched zombie style
Hot damn that intro music was good. It’s fantastic to see the 13th in action. What a wonderful job by Fletcher. My local group plays many smaller point-level games, so seeing a smaller game featured is great.
500-1000 points are the best games. 2000 is far too crowded these days.
Also these SW are absolutely amazing. Fletcher has outdone himself.
Are you guys doing a Bjorn and Murderfang?
By far one of my favourite games you guys have played. Love the smaller games
At 0:35-0:39.
When Beard Is Leaning Back The Way The Shadow Looms Behind Him…It Looks Like He’s Has A Massive Mullet 😂😂.. Thought I’d Just Point That Out As It Made Me Look Twice And Made Throw My Head Back And Laugh Like A Caverlier.
Awesome video, that was fun 🙂 and yes, agree with all your points made at the end. Well done Brushmaster Fletch, SWs look fantastic x
Looks like the wrong link!
Hey insomnia finally paid off lol
