Can you take forgeworld units with world eaters? Such as relic leviathans pr contemptors?
I recokon Chaos Knight / Imperial Knights are going to struggle against this army, same as Imp Guard and Votann.
I’d rather have no stratagems instead of no subfactions.
So does that mean the berzerkers, if overwatched can move before they make their charge roll if they suffer a casualty? 👀👀
Is there going to be an how to paint from Fletcher on Angron? Would be sick!
So aside from World Eaters being awesome, I would really like a tab for the intro song. It also sounds fun to play.
That Angron paint job. Just stunning, so so good!
I remember when Death guard first started being it’s own thing, just wiped out a bunch of my models. Really sucked, and they are normally so careful to not invalidate peoples collections.
After watching this, I can see why the AdMech codex gets the flak it does. It’s anathema to all the codex simplifications you guys love in the World Eater codex.
Is there a way to chromecast videos like this (in app on demand, or free on YouTube) from the app itself? I’m going to YouTube to cast so have to suffer ads despite being an on demand member
sounds like a decent codex
Maybe this codex will suck less in 3 years once every other faction has been nerfed this hard. Until then this sucks. No jump packs anywhere, no bikes, no guns, no dark apostle, no lord, no multiple warlord traits, a weak army wide rule, and so few units every list is going to look identical and essentially has to have angron because this is really codex angron with the whole book designed around him being half your army because there isn’t enough variety to fill 2000 points otherwise and their one trick is reviving angron. Out of my entire world… Read more »
Less can work in terms of traits and relics, however each of them needs to be worth taking, so less is fine as long as it doesn’t feel like a waste of time.
Why are you guys reading rules from an iPad?
Are we going to digital rules??? That would be baller.
I’m more excited at the new codex format, one of the most annoying aspects of 9th is the sheer amount of “stuff”, 90% no one bothered with anyway, but it slowed things down and made army list construction a pain. Hopefully GW stays on track with this. The other benefit is that..not holding my breath BUT, less stuff means easier to balance.
I like Blood Tithe as a counter to the MSU. Also as a counter to throwaway units.
As an added bonus, what army would actually drive the World Eaters even more insane? Necrons with Warriors and Scarabs. Technically, they shouldn’t even add to Blood Tithe, that would be a real hard counter.
So glad GW are finally moving crusade rules out the way so they’re not right in the middle of all ya match play rules. The guard codex was the first to do this and its great. Keep the crusade rules out the way at the back cos no one uses them lol
I guess that means Beard is taking World Eaters in the League? WE or Votann I’m thinking.
I really don’t like that there’s no real Red Butchers or Khorne Bikers. No Chaos Lord on Bike. I can excuse bikes if there’s Juggernauts but no Berserker Juggernaut Riders either.
I’m with Chef in that I think a lot of the customization should go back to points. Chaos Lords should be like the Autarch, just pick weapons and method of travel and add it up.
GW trips over the silliest things. Just put Lawrence and Chef in charge.
Does killing angron count multiple times (assuming you kill him multiple times ) for assassinate (or other secondaries)? … given he is destroyed my assumption is yes …?
Update – it’s end of game points are scored – RTFM me. 🙂
These models look absolutely top class, great content as always TTT
Isnt Kharn in this book? and what does he bring to the table?
Edit: NEVERMIND, I jumped ahead. On to the next video!
Got to be honest, the drop in warlord traits and relics in this codex makes me worried for my armies (especially chaos marines) future. Less stratagems is good for all armies, but I always spend all my cp on traits and relics to make fun and customisable characters. Having less would make my characters feel way less unique and special (especially because I refuse to take named characters).
This feels like a very 9.5 edition book and an interesting glimpse of what may be to come later on in the year…
Dropped so much I might miss my dnd game this morning.
I am wary of the Blood Tithe. For army wide buffs for the rest of the game, it just seems a bit broken. And bringing back Angron potentially multiple times per game…. Yeah not sure I think this is balanced.
Not been this hyped for a Codex since the days of Khorne Daemonkin!
Now I pray this is at least close to as fun to play…
