Amazing Battle Report as always!!!! We all need more Dark Angels! Hope to see some Deathwing too at some point 👍🏻 I don’t know if someone already brought this up but, shouldn’t Sammael be wounded only on a 4+ being “Inner Circle”? Or did I get the rule wrong 🤔?
Here’s an idea: what if you gave the table an edge? It would keep half of the dice rolling from the table 😂
Thanks for the game guys it was great fun to watch. The mowers of Papa’s garden did some good work, the most enjoyable being vs the dark talon. Well played beard i really feel you made some good decisions here like to start cagey in your first turn and on turn 2 to fire all the melta at the one marine. Yes it was a bit of overkill but it was worth it for the points. @Bone i think you are right about the failed charge of the terminators being big. Hi guys great game but I think Sammael, talonmaster and the black knights have the inner circle key word so thought they can’t be wounded on less than a 4+
If I climb on the train to Bat Rep Village, but you guys don’t get on the train, that means I miss the Battle Report and the village is empty. Also, does that mean you filmed this in a train station, after they negated your tickets? This train is a sad train.

Chef, what happened that these two got to -1 command points for over half the game? Do they use a cp tracker or die set off to the side to count cp?

One little thing Beard. Sammael is a biker, therefore his twin stormbolter will get 8 shots always due to bolter discipline. Great to see the First back on the channel.

One comment. The models kinda got lost in the terrain. Grey buildings with grey models / bases. Might be helpful to pick a board setup that helps to models stick out more.

Two things of note regarding Sammael; Unless it has changed in the new book, he is base toughness 6 not 5, would have made a difference in his combat with the terminators. Also correct me if I’m wrong but he has a twin storm bolter and the biker keyword meaning he would have rapid fire 4 (so 8 shots).

One day Beard and Bone will be able to count how much CP they have! Slightly more seriously, I think because you guys keep rolling without someone taking notes or immediately making the change then you invariably start to forget due to the complexities of filming + playing about a bajillion different armies. I think perhaps you should start cuts to make sure you properly do this might be a good idea, if only as an experiment to see whether this prevents issues of spending CP you don’t have or whatever. I’m sure Lawrence is just as hopeful as I am that the Drukhari will receive the same treatment. Then Xenos can get the leg up it needs to rise to this new challenge!
Great game folks. I think that Ravenwing lists are by their nature quite scary right out of the box, so you really have to put a strong list against them, or well… this happens.
I just hope we’re not starting to see the DG fall behind with every new codex. Must admit I’ve been a little concerned about the overbalancing in the new book (especially the inclusion of nerfed 8th ed relics/WL traits) as well as the over-reliance on Morty (who I have no plans to run).

About to start the game proper. But of note beard Paragon of the chapter means you give your warlord an extra warlord trait. However lets just say you used Hero of the chapter from the Main Space marine codex. Also I would give the Talon master Brilliant strategist as it is better for ravenwing heavy Dark Angels

Now he can put himself into devastator doctrine turns 2-3. Means he can continue to advance and shoot and with the arbiter’s gaze relic still hit on 2+ 😁
