Just in addition to what others have already raised, early warning override says unmodified 5+ to hit in overwatch so the -1 wouldn’t affect the stormsurge.
@Spider & @Cheff can you bring back tactica, to learn from your experience and to better get Tabletop tactics 🤔 😀?

@the bard, you could have blown up your last crissis suite and dealt a d3 mortal wounds on the captain, if you were playing Borkan that would give you +1 to wound for any weapon S7

Both of my armies!! Can’t decide who to root for.
So Beard spend an additional CPs for an extra WT on the Blade Champion to get 5+ FNP only to ignore it for the whole game just as well as he ignored his Shield Host Trait. Blade Champion would still be alive and he would even have an opportunity to strike first being Emissary Empiriatus. Also Blade Champion has +1 save in close combat. James also did a few mistakes tho, like he used CP re-roll a lot of times against units under the effect of the Emperor’s Auspice which is illegal. Also, I might have seen a few units… Read more »
Such a blast ! Awesome duo… The Bard makes the drones speak, The custodes got overhelmed by this. Great game for a great duo !
Oh James you are shooting yourself in the foot there with the Crisis Suits letting them die with 3 wounds while they now have 4, and a minor thingy, but drones have an attack profile also.. might be able to chip a wound off here and there
awesome game, the reason the locals doing so much damage to the Custodes, the Custodes promised to take the citizens on some lovely ships back to Terra to feed to the Emperor, and they thought ‘nah no thanks……..MIND BULLETS!!!!!!’

Also in combat the Blade champion has 1 save making him 2 so he didn’t take a wound from that Xenos scum in combat and would have lived….
Shame 🙁
