Second comment on this game because I’m just getting to watch it now, but Chef if you’d have said “such heroic nonsense” when you killed Ironhide it would have been the greatest reference of all time

I caught that cheeky Oblivion reference in there! Don’t think I didn’t Beard 😂

Nice one chaps, that was excellent. WELL DONE, BEARD! Is that… two wins in a row? Two wins… in a single weekend?! Love it. I didn’t consider Iron Hands when I was choosing a chapter for me Astartes, because at the time, I believe they were considered a bit cheesypeas with various unbalanced nonsense going on, but they look quite cool now. Their primarch is v dead though. Has been for ages. Gutted. And I think calling your entire chapter the Low Gothic translation of your actual name is a bit of a douchebag move. Like being called Dave, having… Read more »

That was an enjoyable game to watch guys. I really like to see the Knights as armies in action, perhaps because they are up to such a challenge nowadays. Keep ’em coming Chef!

It’s just temporary, hence why I’ve not missed it further. A larger ‘trough’ is being installed on both sides soon, with felt inlays glued in 👀😅🕷

Knights aren’t far off being a good army. A couple of small tweaks is all that is required.
Beard – those yellow dice have revealed your stardom! Rise!

Chef, I think you absolutely nailed it in your pre-game intro when you said that knights were boring, but they don’t need to be.Hats off to Beard for a great game played, but I think you had a blinder in that you made the knights actually interesting to watch. It’s a pity you couldn’t quite pull off a win, but it was a great game nonetheless.

Knights seem to be so close to be viable it’s getting interesting. If COVID wasn’t disrupting 9th edition codex releases it’d be interesting to see where things stand now.

I think trail of destruction can be used for overwatch (although risky on random shot thermal cannons) -> for the next chaplain cheeky enough to charge an infernal hell machine

Knights are a tough one in 9th, but so fun to play. We have gone over the issues multiple times of obsec issues, lack of secondary diversity with no troops, and really just not that killy. I will say I feel your Chaos Knights have a leg up on my Imperial Knights though. You are running them close to how I am (2 bigs, 7 little) though I am using Moirax.

Mr. Chef became so insteresting as a chaos knight player. Hope he makes me a gift. War dogs led by the tyrant himself (in my vision it is a way to concentrate the boosts such as trail of destruction in 1 big shoota)

That Wardogs wave is really impressive! I get why Chef would come to like the knights!
@Beard: “Ferrum Celare” means “to hide iron”. I think the correct way to say it is “Cute Ferrum” or “Pellis Ferrum”. It’s been too long since I studied Latin.
Thank you for the game!

Awesome battrep as usual. Sad to see no FW Wardogs. Just a thought tho, why don’t you just proxy some Moirax’ just for us to have a little more diversity so to say?
