Consider using external data sources (e.g. tournaments) to bring in the factors you want to use for faction ratings.
OMG, I love everything about this! I loved the Tactica series and I have always wanted you guys to do an in house league.. This is so exciting! I can’t wait to see em!

I would hereby like to formally challenge each and every member of the team. Being almost a neighbour to the studio already :p
Raw PF and PA with splits – faction opponent, primary points. secondaries – would be more interesting than margin IMO. I’ve heard some armies/lists described as “hard to score secondaries against” or “scores a lot but gives up a lot too”. It’d be interesting to see if some armies or lists skew one way or another and if it aligns with what the list designer intended. I don’t consider myself a competitive player. My interest is more curiosity about certain list designs. Hearing about dark technomancer liquefiers and seeing them in action are two different things. On the flip side… Read more »

This sounds so cool, guys! Excited to follow the games and stats. One thing I noticed, and maybe this is intended and I’m misunderstanding, but it seems like the turn 1 and turn 2 win rates are calculated as (turn 1 wins)/(turn 1 wins + turn 2 wins)*100 and (turn 2 wins)/(turn 1 wins + turn 2 wins)*100 respectively. This makes sense for your totals column, but for the players it seems like it’s maybe not giving the intended answer? Hey guys, first off, great idea. looking foreward to the league! I think id like to see some kind of short summaries of the games played in a easy to view archive. It could contain the list used, margin of victory, and maybe a short summary from both players on what happened in the game and what errors/good plays they did. Nothing big mind, just a few sentences. Have you guys considered adding some kind of draft? I think that could be a fun way of balancing the army hand outs.
great idea guys, will the community challengers be allowed to call you out on specific armies of your pool? I.e: i am the challenger running BA and i call out chef using GSC…
Australia still has to put up with ridiculous prices from GW and FW. Its not unusual to wait a few months to get a FW piece shipped as well. But…. In New Zealand, its even worse (add another ~10% to the Australian prices). e.g. A squad of intercessors in the UK => 35 pounds ($63 AUD) In Australia, the price jumps 55% to $98 AUD. Note: the UK price includes 22% VAT, in Oz we have a 10% equivalent. In New Zealand, the same intercessors are $115NZ ($108AUD). As an idea, can games be home/away? Mainly represented by the home player choosing the terrain and mission?
You know what would also be really interesting is if you had a top most cost effective per faction. Just as a talking point, something like cost/points killed per match, and average that, it might require a lot of work, but might be something interesting for the community to keep track of. just listing the average points cost per model, and then listing what that unit killed at the end of the match.
Championship belt! Could we get wrestling-style promos and named finishing moves from the competitors too? Glad to see that TT is leading the way in tabletop sports entertainment
I love the stats side of thing so much I have been noting down results of your games since the new year, but more on a faction based excel type format with wins/losses/draws/victory points etc for each army and adding together cumulative results for wider factions ie Imperium/Chaos/Aeldari and getting an average win rate, giving you the most dominant army and which of those is faring better from a narrative standpoint. You could call it……

There’s a K for higher and lower rankings, should be easy enough to implement for factions, just need to determine the factors

your league ranking table page looks great cant wait for this to kick off and see the evolution of it with balance incorporated in and the 7th player idea sounds amazing and i bet there alot of people that would love to take part in that.championship belt with roku on would look awesome and i imagine all of you will be gunning for lawrence to get them big points lol

Giving the belt to visitors won’t be good to do as you won’t with it and it have to be shared. Maybe it be more fun to do a forfeit instead if the community wins like you have to dress up as a plant for the next batrep or something like that and it be a fun video to do.
The forfeit should be done in good humor and be something that is funny and silly and not something that you would dread to do 🙂

Why not a football league style table for the armies it would be easier to follow and give loads of information. 3 points for a win. 1 point for a draw 0 points for a lose Most points win every faction plays each other twice. If there is a draw it comes down to VP difference. VP for – VP against = VP difference You could record board wipes, total full units destroyed, full units lost, value of units destroyed for and against and then armies points efficiency could be taken into consideration. Awesome league concept, I’m so hyped to see rankings and some regular appearances from my favorite armies. How are you hands long the terrain set-up? If it is too different from game to game, something like a giant line of sight blocking wall in the middle of the field versus more open shooting lanes could have just as much impact on a game as who goes first.
Chef needs to win. Just to see his expression as he holds the championship belt between is thumb and pointer finger half a meter away from him with the awkward Internet Historian pained smile.
So who’s the bookmaker for this Super League. Not to be confused with another much less super league of the same name. I wanna put money on this enigmatic dark horse “El Beardo” they mentioned.
I want to see El Beardo dive bombing BBone from the turnbuckle while saying lines like “time to bury this plant under 6 feet of earth brother! Oh yeah!”
Sounds cool gang. Personally I would like a faction lineup. Say example Chef: Necrons, GSC and Chaos Deamons (Slaanesh). Beard: Chaos SM (Iron Warriors), Dark Angels, Space Marines (Ultramarines). Etc. Helps just get an idea of when a army changes hands and list changes what a different skill player is doing with an army…
