Hey, I need some rules help here: In the old codex a knight could fall back and shoot and charge. In the new codex, this has been reduced to charging but not shooting. Am I missing some way they can still shoot or why is nobody talking about this massive nerf?

Dominus Class knights feel like they have been somewhat pushed aside. Considering the castellan was an all-star in the previous knights meta i understand why they want armigers and questoris to shine but as someone who is relatively new to collecting knights, the weird CP refund requirements kinda feel bad because i have 2 dominus knights, 2 questoris, and 4 armigers, so im kinda stuck in a weird spot for a bit. Sad to see the valiant didnt really see any meaningful change, although i am determined to achieve mad-lad status and find a decent way to use it anyway.

Not sure on the Hawkshroud strat being a glow up, the better intervention is good but losing the ability to overwatch when a friendly unit is charged? That’s a big loss. For me though the biggest loss is Stormstriders (combined with the old Glorified History), never being degraded on movement and getting +1M was huge. Add in the loss of movement in general for Knights and I’m gonna have to play very differently when I was averaging 2-1 and 4-1 at RTT and GTs using those. My beloved Valiant and Lancer are unlikely to take to the field very much… Read more »

Are the Imperial Knights or Chaos Knights stronger in your opinion ?

Knights are my secondary army and I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on the Codex. It just looks really fun. Well done GW. From my gut feeling, a small defensive buff across the board for the bigger Knights maybe wouldn’t have hurt, like ignore 1 point of AP. But I can’t wait to dive into the combos either way.

Now I just hope for the same when they finally get to my Guardsmen. 🙂

As a Chaos Knight player, im feeling a bit sad because it seems imperial knights are just much stronger then Chaos. While Chaos Knights seem balanced, the Imperial knight buffs to armigers is just so strong. I wish these two codex’s were balanced against each other.
