Hello everyone, turns out I made a mistake with the list which resulted in me being over by 20 points – apologies! I’ve fixed this in time for my first game so expect some small changes which will be covered in my first League game for this season 👍🏻
Loving the choice for the Beard! One thing I can’t believe you have missed out on is the Urani league combined with the Fortify boost for T10 Land fortress. And the everyone is judged combined with the HunTRs Mark, so all your shooting auto hits!!
My gosh, I am sooooooo looking forward to this league!!! Eager to hear Lawrence’s list!!!

Competitively I know you are limited by the models you have. I agree that 3 squads of bikes would be better. I would lose the sagitaurs and put the beserks in the land fortress. Warpstryke also denies deepstrike near you which is better than you think as far as board control is concerned. I would use the hearthguard as a backline objective holder in the first couple of turns and the teleport forward for free as a second wave. No enemy units will be able to drop in near them to steal an objective by charging or even to do… Read more »
Good luck Beard, its a shame their are so many votann haters in the chat. There are plenty other things to complain about in this game. Feels like people are insulting your integrity by your choice of army which isnt right. We’re all here to have fun after all
That list is filthy. Those bikes are so good. I can’t wait to see this against the IG and TS. The TS one will be interesting with all the MW he can put out.
Wrong league sir, should have gone for the Urani. Tougher, combine with Fortify. Then your enemy are buggered as everything is judged to a minimum of 1 and then link it with the HunTRs mark and everything auto hits. Happy days!

It’s different enough to the one I am trying right now that I am really looking forward to see how you will do.
I am 100% with you about the Troops (wildl overcosted), even though I am toying with the idea of putting a splitted squad into two sagitaurs so as to have to 5-men units to keep in my backline, and this might answer to your question at the 10 minute mark.
It does kind of suck that no one’s taking WE, but there’s a few armies that were first in the New Codex line. I’d really like to see Chef take either Chaos Knights or Harlequins in the Third League.

I really thought it would be Daemons! Beard I am sad and confused that you, a hallowed Lord of Chaos! are playing Votann. I think i just sicked in my mouth a little.
With no EC as well this is rough. A body blow one might say.
My support now unfortunately must be reserved for the non-Ork and non-Votann players in the league

Wow! I’m surprised to see you playing this Army. you playing this and then Spider playing Orks ! I thought for sure you’d be piloting Desert Jackals and Spider would be brutalizing you guys with World Eaters or Emperors children. The universe is in chaos(😂)
I’ve played against an almost identical list and my thousand sons won by one point! I got reduced to literal dust. My teleporting shenanigans won the game with a last round teleport but wow! They are brutal. Good luck 👍🍀

For a shooting army they have a severe lack of relic pistols, guess it’s iron without this league. I’ll be Votann for Jinx.
Hi Beard for a “shorter” path to victory, here are some comments/suggestens to your list from a competetive Votann player. I am aware that your model selections are limited by the things that fletcher painted, so I will keep that “small” as well 🙂 – Bikes/pioneers are largely overrated for a couple of reasons in my opinion. You won’t be able to hide them due to their large footprint – skilled opponents will remove them in 1-2 turns. Makes the AD Mech look more reasonable 😅, I think the only army that can keep up is the T-sons because of the mortal wounds they can do.

Sorely disappointed here, I was so hoping Beard commanding the Orks or just about anything other than ….Votann.
Well I guess it is up to the Spider to play World Eaters to keep my interest.
Love the list hut at the moment I’m running similar but have a normal kahl shepherding 2 x 10 warriors with unyielding toil Warlord Trait. This enables me to do actions and still shoot….then take prospects of wealth and get those points up..without losing shooting mcshooterson…go shorty it’s ya birthday, gonna party like it’s ya birthday!!! And so on

Behind almost always beats out engage now. You need 3 separate units in 3 quarters still with the 6 inch rule to get 2 points for engage. You only need 1 unit per turn in the enemy deployment zone for 3 points per turn. Just doing that 3 times and getting 2 in there on one more turn gets you 13 points. With the bikes, those small transports and teleports that should be doable pretty much every game.

Ahh, you little beauty. You didn’t draw the short straw here. Can’t wait to see you go compete with these guys. Good going with the pioneers, good choice. Though I still think infantry are phenomenal due to the rail rifles. The elites, although I own one of each, I’m unsure about too much though. I found decking out guns in my votann list enables me to delete elite armies very fast. Tabled 1k sons in 2 rounds of shooting, deleted custodes nearly as quick.
