Dark Angels vs World Eaters | Warhammer 40,000 Narrative Report
Making their Escape from the Cinder Ark, Boarding Master Apollo and the remnants of his Deathwing Strike Force find themselves trapped inside a fresh circle of hell.
Within the blood soaked corridors of this new labyrinth, the Black Abess continues her dark ritual amongst a World Eaters Warband. The bite of the Butchers Nails pounds the skulls of these barbarians and only the flow of blood can quench their thirst.
As the brave warriors of the first legion stride into the unknown, and their Inquisitor ally continues to protect the child, do they have the resilience to repel yet another attack from the great enemy?
Grim Resolve will indeed be required, as the Dark Angels enter, the Corpse Furnace…
++ MISSION RULES ++
At Any Cost: Inquisitor Heidegger is able to focus his psychic powers to create a psychic shield to protect the Child. It is cast of a 4+ which grants a 4+ save against wounds suffered.
The Red Butchers: Once per game after the first round of combat, the World Eaters Terminators can be selected to fight again at the end of the fight phase.
++ MISSION OBJECTIVES ++
Quench the Nails, Stoke the Furnace: The World Eaters score 5 points for destroying any enemy units.
Maim the Vessel: The Dark Angels & Inquisitor Heidegger score 10 points for each Furnace Exhaust destroyed.
Slay the Abess: The Dark Angels score 5 points for destroying the Dark Commune.

Best narrative game yet, can’t wait for the finale
I always love the narrative games but I have to say hats off to you guys. Absolutely fantastic edge of your seat action. Love the story and the twists and turns.
I love these rules!
It reminds me of some Black Stone fortress stuff.
Brilliant fun 😉
Really fun story, can’t wait to see how it ends!
Well that was a blast! Excellent work on the narrative, some epic moments for real. Hidecker surviving the berzerkers was classic hahaha Looking forward to the final episode =)
That was great. Big fan of your narrative battle reports.
Absolutely loving this narrative! Once we get the conclusion of the Cinder Ark story definitely want to see more awesome content like this!!!
This story is so good it tipping me over the edge into subscribing. More narrative content please!
It would have been sweet to have some Necromunda Corpsegrinders as Jackals for this one.
These narrative episodes are so good! Can’t wait for the conclusion!
Love narrative games, but the Dark Angels did not feel like they had a chance here. This mission did not seem well balanced. Please make further mission so either side has a legitimate chance of winning. Especially since the dark angels ESCAPED last mission and now they’re just in another chaos ship? This entire mission felt designed to let chaos get the win and finish their ritual.
Your narrative games are just excellent. Thank you for all the effort you put in to these.
Chainsword face!! Take a look at the back of that image, there’s a guy with a literal axe for a head!
Brilliant! Loving these games… and an old hammer figure 😍 (Won’t say what it is just in case)
looking forward to the next one. Also, love to see an AoS narritive.
So, so good! Looking forward to the last one
The child has more wounds then a berserker how has it not been groomed.to be an astartes
As always, MOAR BEARD NARRATIVES!
THESE ARE SO GOOD I LOVE YOU GUYS
Any chance of the narrative missions being bundled up in one package?
It’s narrative baaaaaaaaaaaaaby!
Amazing as always! I am loving these boarding action narratives. They combine all the best things about 40k and they’re just the right length to share with my kids too.
Beard – hats off to you for crafting this absolutely brilliant immersive story. And to all the gang for your infectious enthusiasm.
Great stuff lads!
Absolutely love your content!
Boarding actions is great for narrative. Like watching a mini series.
I absolutely love yalls narrative games they are just such a joy to watch and the epic fights/duels that sometimes happen to make it perfect.
Superb work again Beard, cannot wait for the conclusion!
I need episode 4 right now! I would love to play some of these narrative games with you guys. They are so much fun!
wow, fantastic as usual Beard, really looking forward to Ep4!!!
I have no idea how “copywrite” and other schnanigans work… but a series books/pdf downloads of “Beard Narratives” would be amazing to have in the “shop”….. food for thought 🙂
Beard, your story crafting prowess never ceases to amaze me. What an epic! Cannot wait for part 4.
Fantastic as always 🙂 Looking forward to the grand showdown 😉
Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t world eater berzerkers have a rule where they move when shot at
What a phenomenal game! I love these narratives that you put together Beard. They’re prime fodder for a short story. Amazing stuff.
We know I have to support my Legion. Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne!
