Just wanted to say thank you, I am completely new to Warhammer and having never played a game love watching you all. I am waiting for 10th to release before I jump in and currently having an army commissioned by a guest I have seen on your videos.
So the new Lion models face is obviously Charles Dance inspired.
Any chance they are making models look like actors that could be cast for the TV show?
Could one of you do me a huge favour? Could someone stick a laurel on Fletchers head and take a picture of him looking stern as i think they based Roboute off him.

Great vid gang. Here’s a tidbit for you. Pause the dread in different spots and you’ll see its actually a Redemptor and not a boxnaut. I thought it was a box as well and it wasnt until Auspex Tactics had a paused screenshot in his vid that you see its a Redemptor. Very cool.

You guys should definitely do a : Trailer reaction video… You know, you kept yourself from watching the trailer and when it comes out, gather and watch it together. We would love to see you enjoy it and be surprised as much as us. It would be pretty funny and be a hit on Youtube…

The Lion got me way more excited than 10th edition. I did not like the time of indexes, i know you guys do, but armies felt bah. My eldar were just like mini marines.
Way more excited for the Lion. Amazing miniature, cant wait for the possibilities it will open lore wise. Also 10th lore wise seems pretty cool with the tiranids becoming a huge issue. Can’t wait to see almost all races work “together” in despair just to stop them.
I’ll be the lone dissenter booing and hissing at The Lion. In the reveal stream, they talked about people loving recreating bespoke forces from the lore, and I feel like they’re increasing leaning into that so they can cultivate a brand identity. Back in my day, you didn’t have a “homebrew” chapter of space marines, you just *your* space marines. And yes, they were all secretly descended from traitor or missing legions.
Am a big fan of streamlining the rules tho!
As the new guy, all of this seems to be going in the right direction in terms of accessability, learning 9th to get into 40k was rough

I am tentatively happy with the changes but I’m glad I made the right choice and did not stay up for this.
Personally for me, I am a little concerned on the merging/streamlining of stratagems and rules. I run Raven Guard and Crimson Fists, I would prefer these armies to still play like they do, for example, today you can do some really interesting things with master of ambush and strike from the shadows as Raven Guard. If the aim is to remove rules like these, and make all the chapters have access to the same stratagems/same relics for me that’s taking the enjoyment out of running those armies. I just want the Khan to come back.
Cutting down the list of various widgets is good, but streamlining the units themselves is not. No Khorne Bikers, no Berserkers on Juggernauts, no real Red Butchers, it’s getting to be too limiting. Every Space Marine character should have on foot, on bike, w/Jump pack, and Terminator armor options, and equivalent for Primaris and the same or better with the Choas Marines.
These are very exciting times!
Overall optimistic, sounds like a few decent design choices and I am very glad it did not get all the AoS rules that some rumors claimed like losing T (if I liked AoS rules I would have long since gotten an army or two to play it).
Not a fan of the WE style relic and warlord trait system given GWs track record of making named characters autoincludes. A huge part of this game for me is tinkering with lists and trying new combos of traits and relics, so that going away will make the game more boring for me.
Do you know if 40k armys get those rule cards like AoS?

Really interested to see how the digital elements of this edition pan out, and what the codexes look like in the future. Will the hard copies be optional coffee table books with fluff and art and whatnot, while all the rules become available for a cheaper download code…?

At least we all start around the same level for 10th, If it really is as fresh and new as they say.
