Hi Chaos lord Beard , I have just used this detachment in a game at Warhammer World against the Pointy eared gits. I leaned heavily into the Infantry , We only do 1500 point games so not much in heavy weapons , but what a game , it really gets into the scrap and those poor T2 Elves really enjoyed being part of the garden.
Just reporting back as I played this vs the new dangles detachment last night – The scout move got me onto or in front of objectives in search and destroy, which meant the endless melees in the middle happened on my terms, which was nice. I didn’t need to advance so I could still shoot into the deathwing and thin them out before they came crashing into me, and I still kept the primary. death guard main and I’m happy for new but also kinda just eh on this detachment. feels very start of 10th to me where everyone got their new presents and i got socks. the zero synergy with monsters or vehicles kills so many of our good units that i struggle to see how losing the extra contagion and sticky objectives will ever be worth it
Is there any chance that the podcasts on Monday can be discussing the previous weeks grot as detachments? You mentioned a lot of ways that the detachment is quite cool, but I don’t know if a lot of people know how or why that’s the case. I just think it’d be fun to have a little more in depth discussion about the grot as detachments but also appreciate the ammount of work that would probably entail!
As someone who tried to run fluffy DG lists, I hate using transports. Plus that bit of extra harder to kill for DG hits all the right spots for me.
I love this detachment, for me, it hits every spot.

Cool, wasn’t expecting these so quickly.
For future videos, I’d maybe lower the music volume a little more after the intro so its more in the background and not fighting with the presenter as much. Beard is plenty loud about his death guard so not a huge issue here but I think it might aggravate the nerves by detachment 30 :).
