waiting for a spider vs spider (drukhari vs grey knights) ahahah
Spider, when will you post your changed league/competitive tournament list? As a thousand sons player, I cannot wait to see that video. Also love this format of you did the video! Look forward to the next one, please keep this format if possible
Love it. Positive vibez
I’m really like the slightly longer format discussion that these have turned in to 🙂
I always loved these conversations just two mates chattering away. Massive thumbs up. And your video framing was spot on this video too!
Particularly in a world where I can’t play as many games as maybe I’d like, being able to keep up with codex releases from videos like this is a HUGE plus. Thank you 😀
Hey Spider, I have to disagree with you on the Preservers. Being able to spam a 6+ FNP on multiple 2-3W units and then switch the tides is big. Because my army is still quite Terminator-heavy, I’ve found it incredible and it really helps mitigate the number of whole units which die entirely and cost Abhor the Witch points. The other thing is, I’ve found that I almost always want to cast Hammerhand to fish for mortal wounds, over the Brotherhood powers offering re-roll charges or +1A. It’s definitely a build around Brotherhood, but, in my opinion, one of the… Read more »
Yess, this is the kind of format for codex reviews I’ve been longing for. Thx gents 🙂
Great changes for the new format lads the depth of the content is outstanding. You spoke about the cost of terminators and how you felt they were appropriatley costed. My question is as a whole picture comparing strikes to terminators and terminators to paladins does your opinon change. I feel as though if you were thinking of terminators you would be better off trying to fit paladins in. For 5 points more they are WS 2 and have an extra attack. Ontop of the flexibility to pick 2 sanctic powers you could give them armoured resilience for a better save,… Read more »
Really curious on your thoughts towards the paladin changes.
I am by no means a pro player, but I think Halberds might edge out swords. I think in the current meta there is quite a lot of value in them. Dark Eldar have a lot of toughness 3 units and many vehicles are toughness 6. Orcs also now have a toughness of 5. I also feel like there are a fair number of popular armies at the moment running invuls that make AP feel a bit less useful. I will probably run a mix of them for a bit and see what feels best.
I only just put 2 and 2 together, marked for death strat a little shoutout to TTT and you guys playtesting the book? Or coincidence? 😉
So I’ve got three NDK’s and one GMNDK to build, Im currently thinking going one with GPsilncer and HIncinerator, one HIncinerator and HPsycannon and two with GPsilncer and HPsycannon.
Getting a mixture of all the guns. However I wanted opinions on whether the HIncinerator is worth it? To me it seems to be on par with GPsilncer.
I like the new video format, with the zoomed in talking cams. Very sharp
It cracked me Up seeing Lawrence get petulant, when chef talked about using powers on Drukhari. 🙂
I’m a BIG fan on having at least a couple units of strikes with falchions to fish for 6s with Hammerhand in Tide of Convergence and have the other unit buffed by the Litany, Words of Power. Double wounds and 2 mortal wounds per 6 is REALLY nasty! You could also have Draigo there too. It might be a lot, but I’d hope my opponent shoots at my Interceptors that are all the way up the board.
Nice chat lads. I linked it on the Grey Knights Facebook page to see what others think. I’m happy, I built my GK Terminators in 8th with swords for “rule of cool” and it paid off in 9th!!, however, I have no PA GK 😒… just Terminators and Paladins as I prefer the models.
5 Strike Marines for 110pts vs 5 Berzerkers for 90pts hurts my World Eater soul. Really good discussion, always enjoy these ‘coffee time’ type videos, given me some ideas of what to look out for at my first GT this weekend, lots of Grey Knights coming out to play!
Great video. Excited to play GK with the new video.
Spider what are your thoughts on including a Warding Stave in each unit? Hitting at S7 vs vehicles with a few attacks per squad has some utility I think, and the stratagem can also be clutch in the right circumstances.
Your timing is perfect! I had just started working on a Primaris Gray Knights conversion for Kill Team and your discussion kept me company as I went to town with my tools, green stuff and glue. As always a really interesting analysis, looking forward to the next episodes!
GK Crusade!!! Let’s Gooooooooo!
Just got the pop up! Loving our codex my guy its beast!! GK are nasty in 1k matches now
It looks like transports don’t have to be the same brotherhood to transport units.
