Dark Angels vs World Eaters | Warhammer 40,000 Battle Report

It’s a Primarch showdown!! The Lion has finally risen to guide Bard against the heretic Chef, but will he be able to stand toe-to-toe with the Daemon Primarch of the World Eaters?

**NOTICE** This was filmed before the April 2023 Balance Dataslate change to Inner Circle. We’re good, but we’re not see-into-the-future good!

If you’ve scrolled this far to comment “BuT DeaTHWinG Don’T hAVe TRanSHuMAn AnYMore!1!”
We know.
We filmed and edited this last week.
Before the Dataslate was even released.
We can’t see the future (well, at least).
We can’t film and edit a game in a single day, especially since we’re moving our entire Studio (so many boxes)
We even acknowledged that fact in the video description as well, which you scrolled past.
Thanks for letting us know though 😅

It’s great seeing people playing and just having fun….watching you guys play is how I wish my gaming group played. A greater focus on fun and story telling a little less on outright blitzing each game.

Super fun Batrep! I really love the classic matchups. But there were two things that would have pushed things to the absolute limit!
1) The turn the Lion arrived, Bard you had to say “Guards! Knights! Squires! Prepare for battle! and que “O Fortuna”
2) After the Lion arrived, as many Tywin Lannister quotes as possible!

I have to go watch Excalibur now, for the 20th time…

Pretty interesting seeing Azrael finish off Kharn, given that when they met in the fluff in the audiobook “The Trials of Azrael”, Kharn soundly beat the Chapter Master of the Dark Angels and forced him to sneak away from the fight.
Lots of old grudges in this match.

Good to see the Bard cashed in on his good luck rolls. Two games in a row that have been rather good !

Do you guys know, in a normal game if you take assassination as a secondary, do you get points every time you kill Angron, if he comes back, or only the once?

Fun report guys! Feel liked peak 9th with so much OP stuff all over the place. 10th can’t come quick enough where I hope it gets less killy by a large degree.

Loved this one! Sadly, I’ve had the same experience with Kharn, I want so much for him to be better than a CSM cultist, but sadly, they at least hold objectives and screen out backlines, where as he can’t even deal a single wound to a Terminator most of the time. So surprised to see so many berzerkers, thank you for doing the list that way, I don’t know for sure whether you would agree that maybe it was too many, but watching this I really did get the feeling of like, sure there’s a lot, but at 1dmg each,… Read more »

After a failed attempt to get the limited edition Lion novel today I really needed something to cheer me up.
To answer your question – yes, you peaked with this one. Battlefield was thematic, armies looking great and Fletcher’s primarchs are my 2 favorite versions of them painted I’ve seen so far (he even did the Watcher carrying the helmet I wanted to do).

Thanks guys! Perfect send off for the studio.

I never played Dark Angels, but I like the Lion model so much that I preordered him anyway.
And what an incredible, stunning, amazing job did Fletcher on him!
I will give my all in painting him even though I will not be able to come close to Fletcher’s work, I am really looking forward tohave him on my desk.

Some say he was found wandering in a forest as a child having been raised by squirrels.

Some say he’s followed around everywhere by midgets in robes. It may just be Katie though. Or Jawas.

Some even say he’s spent the last 10,000 years asleep under a rock.

All we know is… He’s called the Bard.
