My tip for James: take a Ogryn Bodyguard (with Stormshield) in your Command Squad. For a little bit of close combat and very much durability…
Great match as usual! Despite Stig losing so much you did a great job keeping up in points. That Armor Company is such a tough nut to crack. Excited to see how the finals play out! I hope the new studio is awesome for you all and you’re getting comfortable in the new home. 🙂

Seriously though with the lists that are left unfortunately the infantry hoard just doesn’t seem to cut it anymore 😔 losing a couple of blobs and replacing with something of more resilient and more reliable (bots and more chicken) might be the way.
Edit: having seen the weeks schedule now I think all our comments are moot lol

Enjoyed the game! Stig put in a good effort but we all knew there really was only ever one outcome here. The semi’s would really be better as votann v guard and admech v orks – we just saw how easily tanky guard list flattened this admech list with min casualties, but maybe Stig can add anti tank and have a better chance next time? Thank you for making competitive reports enjoyable to watch and not a marathon. I can’t do those 2 and 3 hour reports. The time is perfect for my end of night shift bourbon ( not every shift since I’m on 7 day stretch at the ER… my liver would pickle ) and cigar. I still Lawerence Orks snuck past you Bard. Back line those tanks in the Semis buddy

Please, Stig, you do need more anti-tank, you cannot kill vehicles in any efficient way, 4 cannons of las are NEVER enough, 3 battle wagons from Spider’s list are not skewed but you’ll need all game to deal with them.
STIG PLEASE add more anti-tank! otherwise, the semis are gonna be real boring.

You should try WTC layout, because in your games usually T1 is critical. In wtc layout, it is not, and it’s far more tactical. WTC players usually want to play second, because wtc games go to T5 and scoring is better in T5 when you play second. Basically here, bard goes first, and obliterate Stig. No real gameplay, no tactics, just going first and rolling a lot of dices with a lot of firepower. A little boring.
Yeah! Those semi-finals are going to be brutal. I can’t wait. Keep up the great work. Y’all keep me sane with a bit of competitive but still almost a relaxed tone. Some great entertainment even when competition shows up. 👌
