I find Doom to be very thematic. It is the Farseer influencing the Skein to bring about the destruction of their foe. Remember, at least in 8th, Doom is only cast once per phase. I used to be able to Doom multiple units every turn in previous editions.

I totally respect that some people love this type of gaming, it’s just not for me. I dislike playing in the style of game where the outcome is basically known after both armies are deployed. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just a different style and i get how some people can love it.

Saw you guys at LVO, but you were midgame, so I did not stop for a chat. The funny thing was my wife, whom is not in the hobby, was the one who noticed Lawrence. She said, “Isn’t that those guys you watch all the time. Are you not going to say hello?” I said, “Yeah but he is playing a game. Maybe some other time.” She looked me dead in the eye and in her best Bone impersonation said, “Controversial!” If you guys ever want someone new to play ITC with, I would happily make the trip. Trying to… Read more »

There will be an ITC tournament in Amsterdam on 30th of March.
Kind of close and good for practice.

Single faction army with 1750 points and no enclosed buildings, so little bit different though.

The B-Bone’s road to (winning) the 2020 LVO…

Could be a good series to test out the lists and ITC missions 🙂
It probably will mean lots of tau, but everyone loves the fishpeople toga!

So that guy played the entire tournament with a warlord on 5 attacks instead of 3 mmmm

If memory serves me right the -1 faction bonus applying to every unit in an army only applies to Eldar right? As opposed to the similar ones for Chaos, space marines, and mechanicus which don’t apply to most vehicles. That is where I think they went to far on the Eldar with that bonus. In fact every time I play Eldar, I’m not sure there’s anything another faction does that Eldar doesn’t also do in some capacity but without any drawbacks lol

Thanks for this guys! I was so keen for this vox cast since we were tracking you guys at our LVO house party!

As someone in Australia, we play ITC a lot at the bigger events. I would be really keen to see you guys play more of it and get better at the format throughput the year.

Excellent report gentlemen!! Loved listening to your thoughts about the ITC, your individual battles, and your overall experience in the desert. Completely agree about some sort of a cap on the minuses to hit and/or making 6s always hit. Taking away the ability for unit to hit entirely just seems silly. Bone…do you think if you had gone first in your game 5 (i think it was) against the Eldar army, the result would’ve been much different overall? Those super smites certainly didn’t help, but curious if you think you could’ve pulled off the win in the end. Lawrence, that… Read more »

I would think the ideal was if Eternal War and ITC missions was consolidated. They aren’t too far from each other.
Beyond that it’s just the ITC terrain rules, but that’s something you can come across anywhere.

Nice to meet you guys super briefly. Saw that you were sorta getting overwhelmed all weekend with people coming up to you, so tried to keep it brief.

I’m curious how Bone will proceed with Tau in the future. ITC is a fairly strange format for Tau I find, and the static castle really doesn’t lend itself to the format. Would love to see Tau evolve into more of a mobile castle that can actually take objectives more actively.

Dont mess with the Mastodon and his Blightlords!! I think he singlehandedly increased sales of both Plagueburst crawlers and Blightlords…

Spider and Bone, I want you guys to know, the support in the Twitch chat was immense. We were rooting for Bone to be on stream round 2, but alas after your loss round 1 the casters vetoed it. After that we switched over to #GetLawrence, but they wouldn’t yield 🙁

Hi my dudes, I commented over on YouTube but I had another question so thought I’d pop it over here
Lawrence; the casters kept repeating about how they thought Old School as a secondary was a bit of a trap and was interested on your take on it after you took it a couple of times and had some mixed results.

Awesome as always, could listen to box casts all day ?

Off subject question. How do you transport your models. Do you trust airport luggage handling?

funny I never get jetlag when travelling West, but every time I travel East I get the worst jetlag ever. One thing I do use to combat jetlag is melatonin (2mg, take one for every 3 hour time difference). That seems to help a lot. I live in Vancouver, but my family is located in Denmark – so I take that trip at least twice a year 🙂
Try it out next time you go LVO 😉

I too was shocked at how good that pizza was in that little shop in Paris. I was most interested in Necrons appearing so high up, but I don’t think that Warlord trait extends the range of a Crypteks Chronometron. The Warlord trait in question is called Thrall of the Silent King and it specifically states “If a Cryptek has this Warlord trait, only increase the range of that model’s Technomancer ability, not that of all other Crypteks in your army. If a Cryptek with a Canoptek cloak has this Warlord Trait, this does not affect the distance the cloak… Read more »

Don’t know how you kept it together for that many games in such a short space of time! I was trying to watch via the Twitch stream but the WarhmmerTV way of reporting it is like they are super scared about anything slightly controversial happening, I hope they take a bit more of a relaxed approach to the streaming to make the viewer experience a lot better. I don’t think there standard response of “well the more you subscribe the bigger budget we have to improve” isn’t really the right answer right now.

Cool. If you’re going to Praque, remember it’s one of the (increasingly many) tournaments that don’t allow the index-codex flowchart for equipment.
